It was by far one of the cleanest and nicest Hostel experiences that I’ve had in years. The individual beds each has there own privacy curtains, adjustable neck reading lights, overhead storage cubbies right above where you lay your head with outlets there to charge your phone/tablets, etc. Plus the in room storage lockers with hotel card key locks for each bed was very welcomed and unlike any other hostel I’ve been to over the past few years. Plus the included morning breakfast and nice open kitchen layout was pleasant and the simple, but adequate continental style breakfast offering was well executed and cleanly put out. Including having all you want coffee which was exceptionally good, evening being on par if not better than many local cafes that I had gone to in the area!
Nice staff, super clean and great amenities. The solo bathrooms and showers were a great plus. The lockers for my very over sized backpack. The bed was comfy and it had privacy curtains and outlets. No complaints and a good price
That was the first person that checked into my room and I saw dormitory I asked her could she put me in a bottom bunk because of my advanced aged and unable to get up on top. She told me it wasn't available however the other three people came after me.
This was a wonderful facility. We had the suite which consisted of a queen bed and bunk beds which was great for me and my two kids. The room was very clean as was the whole property. The staff was helpful as it was our first time in New Orleans. It is walking distance from Bourbon Street. It is even on the trolley and bus routes. You have to park in a parking garage and walk to the hotel is the only downside but other than that everything was great. Definitely will book this hostel again when I go back to New Orleans.
The hostel is near all the local attractions. You can walk, take the bus, street car...a lot of options. It is safe and clean and has card access locks to lockers and storage area, very secure. Breakfast from 8-10am is an added amenity that I appreciate. I don't have to worry about finding a place to eat before I start my day wandering around the city.
Secure, easygoing stay. I felt safe, could come and go freely, and connect with others when I wanted. Everyone seemed chill and focused on their own trip, no drama.
It was my very first hostel experience. I shared a room with two other people. Bathrooms were very clean, though a strange, musty smell was present in all of them. They were obviously cleaned frequently. They were never out of supplies (shampoo, towels, and toilet paper). One thing I would change is that everyone is expected to wash their own dishes which is not the most conservative way to use water. I did not see any signs about water consumption, either, though there were many necessary signs. I saw one person wash one coffee cup with probably 4 galons of water.
I have never stayed at a hostel, but would readily suggest y’all for people who do. The bed was comfortable, bathroom clean, though some were closed so sometimes it was hard to find an open one. My room was right at a major intersection, and it seemed the window was really thin so I couldn’t sleep. That was my biggest complaint. The staff were helpful, cheerful and encouraging. For me, I was on vacation and needed a different experience. Nothing against the facility at all. Now I’ve experienced a hostel and found it’s not for me, though I do appreciate what y’all do.
