The staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. The manager gave us a list of his must visit places as it was our first time in New Orleans. The hotel is unique and eccentric, doesn’t look corporate and we loved that bc it added to the experience of the city. The pool was heated and the rooftop gave a nice view of the city.

The hotel is well located near the french quarter. But if you go there during Mardi gras, you will probably have to walk a block or two with your suitcases as we did. But it is probably the case with other hotels in this area. Otherwise we liked our stay.

Lobby and bar are nice. The rooms are very spartan. No paintings on the bare white concrete walls. Desk is just a square table with no lamp and straight back chair. Our A/C was not cooling. The bath tub would not hold water. The phone was about to fall off the wall. Would not recommend this place.

Beautiful hotel

The staff at the Barnett is so friendly, professional and attentive. The hotel itself is lovely and is a mixture of old and new. It’s conveniently located and walkable. Definitely on my list of hotels to return to.
