My second stay at this hotel. My recollection of the property was that it was cleaner and busier. It is still a good value, and the LIRR is very convenient to get to NY. There are also excellent dining options nearby. The first room we were sent to hadn't been cleaned, which was a bit of an annoyance. Overall a pleasant place that I will come back to.

Disappointing Stay: Dirty Room, Misleading Gym

The room was dirty, with a paddle on the carpet near the AC and torn, dirty curtains (see photos). The gym is not on-site but a small room across the street, which was misleading. Additionally, instead of placing a hold on my credit card at check-in, they made an actual charge, so I now have to monitor my card for a refund. Very disappointing experience overall.

This hotel was substandard in terms of cleanliness and upkeep. The price was not nearly reflective of the quality of the rooms, and the price for value was really upsetting. We were also informed that the hotel only cleans your room if your stay is longer than 3 days, which is disappointing considering how old the building is and how unclean the room felt. This is more of a two star hotel with limited amenities. It is only suitable if you don’t plan on spending any time in your room. I am very disappointed in what we got for what we spent.

The staff are good but the facility is NOT as listed on Expedia, there is no restaurant and no bar. In the room the carpet was sticky and looked very unclean, the lift is so slow it is easier to take the stairs. Breakfast was just acceptable OK for one night (just). Either Expedia or the Hotel should process a refund.
