Needs maintenance
The cleanliness was just fine. The issue was that the wi=fi stopped working and was not repaired when I left FOUR DAYS after it went out. I had to leave the hotel to get online for a zoom meeting, and I was not able to engage in business as usual.
Also, the elevators need attention. Twice the elevator froze and I had to use the stairs.
Otherwise, the staff was friendly and the hotel was comfortable enough.
Great location, friendly staff and nice to have some bagels/muffins provided in the morning.

Terrible check in. Fine room.
The staff were great about checking my bag early and moving me from a double room to a King. They were emphatic that I hadn't paid even after I showed them my receipt. They asked me to pay again, and that I could not go to my room unless I paid again and disputed one of the charges to my credit card. Finally after a half an hour trying to get hotels.com on the phone, they let me know they found my payment after all. They made no apology, just handed me my key. The rooms are affordable and in a convenient location.
The location in NY was great for getting all around Manhattan. There is a subway station right around the corner and access to different subway lines one block in either direction. The hotel was secure, the staff were great, it was clean, and it was well maintained. For a two star hotel, it was amazing.

Homeless people with bizarre behaviour at the doorway of the hotel one guy had no pants on and I mean no pants of any kind on. Quite a dirty area but great for access of social activities. Hotel was basic no one spoke English but it was America lots of different languages and none American either all in all

This is a motel the room stank as it seems it might have been recently painted. If this were CHEAP in terms of price then I’d rate it accordingly but it was well over priced for what it is. If it were priced right then it’s a nice simple motel in an ok location.
This is a no-frills hotel, but for what it is, it's okay. Rooms are clean, quiet and unusually large by NYC standards, although badly in need of updating. It's a good place to rest your head if you aren't planning on using hotel services.

I like the vibe in the atmosphere. Staff and front desk were nice and attentive. The property is a little outdated but that doesn't bother me. Here are what I didn't like. The bed is springy and woke up with back pain. The housekeeper came in our room without knocking. That's a huge no no. Last, they were doing smoke alarm inspections while we were in the room chilling and relaxing. In my professional opinion, this can wait until your guests has checked out first. No common courtesy if you ask me. We probably going to find another hotel to stay the next time we visit New York.
This property is in a fantastic area of Chelsea with 2 subway lines within 4 minutes walk, 1 being right outside your door. The elevators could be updated after i was stuck for a few minutes in one of them.
That aside, it was a fantastic position and would recommend.

The beds are terrible and hard. The rooms are very small!
Our stay was pleasant. The hotel is walkable distance to many attractions and dining places. The subway is across the street.
I wish they had more options for breakfast, but it was good overall.
The Chelsea Savoy is our go to hotel when visiting New York. The staff is so friendly. Great muffins and bagels in the morning. We’ve been going for years!

The staff and service was great! The continental breakfast was bagels and muffins which were fresh and delicious! We were disappointed that coffee and hot water was not available in the rooms. I love tea at nignt and nothing was available after breakfast was over however, the staff were kind and did get
hot water for me.
Property is getting tired. Beds were very cheap and not at all comfortable and needed to be replaced. Toilet seat broken. Very Limited hot water. (The city was working on the main supply for a day) but the issue lingered and i think it is facility problem as well.
Most of the staff was helpful, but the initial contact we had at the front desk was uninterested, not helpful and downright rude!! Bad first impression.
