The room was not what we expected from our booking. It had many broken elements and I had to make several requests for towels even after housekeeping. We also did not get our daily allowance for the in hotel market of which the food was terrible. We have stayed here before and loced it.

We had an excellent 4 night stay at the Hyatt Grand Central. We flew into LGA and out of JFK and public transportation for both was very convenient. The staff was lovely and accommodating and the room (which was huge by any standard and gargantuan for NYC) makes it perfect for a family stay. The beds were comfortable and the $15/day credit for the market in the lobby was a nice little bonus (though the prices there are excessive). The building was secure and there was staff everywhere constantly cleaning. All of the negatives pertained to the bathroom. It was small and the fan didn’t work in ours. Also, the shower faucet was very stiff and required a lot of effort to turn it on by pulling it out from the wall. I think elderly people, children or people with a disability would struggle to operate it. The water pressure was not the best and the water had to run for several minutes each time we showered before it heated up. Once we had these weird little things figured out, we were fine. These are really the only negative things I can say about this property. I happily stay here again and enthusiastically recommend it to others.
