The room was nice, but the bathroom was small. The staff is wonderful - really excellent people. The location is perfect for famous sites, theaters, and great restaurants. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Overall nice property in a convenient part of manhattan. About 15-20 minute walk to Times Square and directly adjacent to grand central and very close to the Vanderbilt and Chrysler building. I didn’t like the hotel fee or baggage hold fee but this is nyc what do you expect. The fixtures etc in the bathrooms are a little dated and we did have a day with no hot water but were told this was due to a city water main issue which seems strange. The large atrium was more gothic than inviting but the holiday decor helped. The beds are comfy and rooms are very clean and we got a decent view of 42nd street but still high enough that there wasn’t too much noise. The bar was ok but we just had a few beers. Overall very good and we would stay there again for the right price.

The first room I was given upon check in was quite disappointing, it’s almost as if housekeeping was missed as there was tissue in the toilet bowl and the fridge surface was dusty. The room phone also had a buzzing sound in the background making it difficult to hear when I called the front desk. The hallway where that room was also looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed. The good thing is that I complained about this and was immediately transferred to a much better room that had no issues, it was clean, had a functional phone and clean hallways. The hotel location is central and it served me perfectly for my tourism needs. Every other thing went well. The security was helpful and very responsive to ask the room next door to quiet it down when it seemed like they were having a very loud and rowdy karaoke at 2am and I couldn’t sleep. In all, my 3-night stay here was good. I’d recommend.

The location is great if you want to be in the heart of Midtown, but we were underwhelmed by the room considering the price. The hotel would benefit from a makeover, as the space feels dated. The safe in our room wasn’t working, the amenities are limited, the water temperature fluctuates, and the lighting doesn’t create a relaxed atmosphere. It works for a business stay, especially if the company covers the cost, but it’s not a place I’d choose again for couples or families.
