Walkable to Times Square, shops;restaurants & to Penn station so we were able to travel by subway from there to JFK airport where we need to take British Airways for our UK trip. Using subway we spent less than $30 for transportation to JFK(2 people )vs $ 100 for Uber . It was a very good location.

The room and building were excellent. Though the guest services were not to par with some higher end hotels I have been too. Though they were polite regardless. The area was somewhat inconvience due to construction and the sidewalks could be cleaner. However I still enjoyed my stay regardless.

Overall it was adequate. First let me point out that even though it says “Times Square South” this hotel definitely is NOT in Times Square. It is south of Times Square by several blocks, and is in the middle of the area known as the Garment District. Detailed review PROS: Desk staff were excellent. We arrived early and got early check in. I needed a band aid and she gave me one. Very polite and sweet Rooms were as expected. Nice pillows and bedding. Water cooler and cups in the lobby I liked the charging station by the beds We had two minor maintenance issues and they were very quick to fix things. CONS location - our window looked across a very small alley directly into the windows of some sort of sewing factory. We could see everything they did and I think they could see in our window as well. Terrible view. Coming home at night the neighborhood did not feel safe at all. Apparently they only have water until 5 pm. Odd. Housekeeping never came during our entire stay. I would choose a different hotel next time.
