The smoke detector was hanging loose from the wall but was quickly repaired. Upon checkout, I was incorrectly charged $13 for bottled water. The onsite customer service representative was rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. I spoke with an escalation specialist who was very helpful in getting them to acknowledge a credit was due. It took a follow up email to finally get my refund.

Overall me and my 2 kids had a nice stay. There was an issue at checking in. I did have reservations but we still had to wait an hour for our room to be ready, and other guest got right in. Also I thought that I read that parking was included. It is not but they do discount it at the local parking garage. It was $60 per day. The beds were comfy. Also the room was small but we were able to manage.

Everyone on the staff that we encountered were great. The rooms were clean and cleaned everyday. It is walking distance from Times Square and the theaters. The rooms had no storage space or space to put things such as toiletries or a book.

Lobby smelled like sewer. Room wasn’t available at check in. Understaffed. Room is tiny. Stain on bed, clogged toilet, phone doesn’t work. I expected more from a Hyatt. Crazy / homeless drug addicts outside front door, and across the street.

This was our first time in NY! Very close to Times Square. We booked a 2 Queen bedroom. Small shower/bathroom but doable for sleeping, shower, etc. Great continental breakfast; only thing, is that you may want to go a bit early to get a table to sit. But never had an issue with sitting down for breakfast. If you’re in a higher floor, be prepared to stop at every floor going down on the way to breakfast! There’s a place that’s about 400 feet from this hotel; called square pizza - if you’re looking for a quick bite (pizza, wings, pasta) it’s great & easy! If you’re a fan of Chinese food - YOU HAVE TO TRY “THE BEST SICHUAN” it’s a couple blocks from Hyatt. SO SO GOOD - worth every penny! If you’re heading to Chinatown or little Italy from here, I’d suggest taking a cab (yellow) otherwise you can take the citi bike but it may run you $30-$35 per person. Taking a cab will be about $20 - cheaper this way BUT if you want the views & to bike - that’s at your discretion. It’s about 5 miles of biking. Staff is friendly & helpful at this hotel, including security guard. Central Park is a must! Amazing to walk around, stop for a pastry, coffee, enjoy the views. Shopping - go to 5th Ave! Or SoHo If you’re a Hyatt member, water bottles are free, otherwise, I’d suggest getting water bottles at the 7/11 that’s a block away on the corner from Hyatt. Bring a backpack or bag, or it’s $.50cents a bag Overall, stay was great - would come back.

I like this hotel for the location and free breakfast but the elavator was making really weird noises such as loud beeping a strong wind sound and it was a tad shaky but this place is right next to the subway which is nice and is a 15 minute walk next to Times Square the service was great they gave us a ton of blankets and towels another thing I don’t like is 6$ for water so we just went to target and bought a gallon and some plastic cups overall if I ever came back to nyc I probably wouldn’t choose this hotel and I would choose a Marriott owned hotel
