I visit NYC and stay in its hotels several times a year. This was my first (and last) time staying at the Night Hotel; my worst hotel experience in recent memory. The experience would have been disappointing at $100/night, but at a non-refundable $300+ it felt fraudulent; a far cry from the the way the hotel looks online. Too many things were subpar during my stay...lack of maintenance/investment, dirty common areas (including the elevators' carpets), staff with attitude, rusty bathtub, bathroom door that looked like it had been forced open with a crow bar, faulty plumbing, drilled holes on the walls that had not been covered, crusty towels, employee who unclogged our toilet with a plunger and let the water drip on the floor as he walked away, small and lumpy beds, and so on...

It was an ok place to stay. The room a clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I understand the building is very old... But the room needs to be configured so the bathroom has a place to keep grooming items. It was awkward.

Easy and quick checkin. Very easy to get to, right off the Subway. Area is very walkable and lots of eating choices. Some areas of the hotel are a bit run down but it's not terrible. Would recommend and will probably stay again.

The area is great, but the hotel itself is quite old and outdated. If you’re on a tight budget and need a place to stay, it’ll suffice, but don’t expect anything fancy.

We paid 300.00 per night. our room had wallpaper falling off the walls. a window air conditioner. the toilet stopped flushing on day 1. We had to pour water into the toilet with a garbage bucket. no microwave or refrigerator. Entire building needs a massive upgrade. Would have been an ok stay if the price was around 100.00 per night.

Bare Necessities @ Night Hotel Broadway

"Bare bones" is how we'd describe the hotel room — it had basic necessities but nothing more (with the exception of a free toothbrush and toothpaste). The toilet tank did not have a proper seal so it continually ran and refilled, making noise. The AC unit is old, loud, and has a musty smell. The pillows are extremely flat. However, it's definitely the most affordable hotel in UWS, so if you're looking for a good deal on a no-frills hotel room, this one should work.

The hotel, from the entrance, lobby, and room, was very poorly maintained, dirty, and smelled terrible. The bed was very bad, the mattress was damaged, and the air conditioning never cooled properly. I reported it and saw no signs of it being damaged. The sound was terrible, so I couldn't sleep. My worst stay.

This hotel is in a convenient place for entertainment on Amsterdam st. As far as eating out, it mainly fast food and a horrible gym. The room was not good. No electrical outlets close to.bed. the refrigerator was a small mini fridge in a corner. The tv was not centered to bed and it took over 10 minutes for hot water. There was no curtain on the window only a cheap blind. We had to pay an extra $80 dollars what was said to be for gratuities which was said to be for parking, we dont have a vehicle, snacks, and use of a very small and inadequate gym across the street. There was a stench in the halway of our room. There is no breakfast available from the hotel. This place is a good place for a quick place for a night but not for a week vacation. This hotel and room was at best a $50 nightly stay. Definitely not $200 a night. Not recommended at all unless you need a place for a night.
