Interesting modern revamp of a classic 1920's building. Open-space lobby is more like a lounge, with music (sometimes live) and tons of comfortable seating options -- there were always a number of people hanging out there, sometimes enjoying coffee or a drink from the bar. Staff members were all friendly, helpful, and extremely competent; when we stopped by the front desk to ask for someone to check out a problem we were having with our TV, we had barely left before the technician was arriving. Luggage storage is available before and after checkout for a very reasonable fee. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the location is within easy walking distance of a number of theaters, restaurants, and subway stations. 100% would stay again.

The hotel is in a great location. It’s a beautiful art deco building and the lobby is amazing. It’s a cool place to stay. However, since my last stay in 2001, the bedrooms are on the shabby side. They need improving. Still a great place to stay and if the bedrooms were as good as the lobby, it would be perfect

Unfortunately no running water for a shower or to even flush the toilet. They did try to fix it but with very minimal updates and a lack of clarity we were forced to check out and find another place.
