The room was nice, spacious, and clean. Balcony was a nice touch, however the only view you have is a wall, which makes having it pointless. It was inconvinent that they did not have an ice maker or vending machine on the property.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I cannot say enough kind words about The Gotham. We got off an 11 day cruise and got to the hotel at 8:30 in the morning on a cold and rainy day. Before we even got out of our taxi, the doorman had come and taken our luggage out and brought into hotel for us. We asked for an early check-in if possible and they said they were fully booked for the night before and they will call us as soon as possible. We went to the hotel restaurant to figure out our plan for the day, and before I was done with my cappuccino they had called to let us know our room was ready. Not only was our room ready, but they had already brought our luggage up to our room, and gave us umbrellas for the rain! 10/10 recommend this place and I will be staying here again.

Terrible room at 4 star hotel

Even though I booked weeks ago, I was assigned a room on the second floor in the back which had a "balcony" which viewed 3 walls. The toilet did not flush, some of the lights did not work, nor did the UBS ports for charging. Finally, the AC units blows directly at bed height so it hits you with cold air all night directly in your face. I immediately asked to change rooms and was told no other rooms were available in the entire hotel - regardless of price. Probably the worst conditions I have experienced at a 4 star hotel. I will never stay at this hotel again.

We were supposed to get 2 free drinks, late checkout and a room upgrade. We got none of the above except for one bottle of water. We were told we would have a $10 room minibar credit and then got charged for snacks. Staff was very nice but beware because you don’t get what’s advertised !

Misleading to say the least!

The picture shown on hotels.com website for this hotel is complete false advertising! It was a very small hotel, which is ok, but we were expecting something grand based on the picture and it was NOT!
