It is right across the Rockerfeller Plaza where there are few shops and lots of restaurants which I tried quite a few. It is so convenient to walk to the theaters and also close to subway. The room has a kitchenette which is handy when I just like to heat up some leftovers. There is coffee nachine in room as well. On 2nd floor is a lounge with tea/coffee facilities and a printer. The staff are extremely nice, particularly Sandy, Leslie and Arthur.They helped me the parcels that I ordered to be delivered to the hotel and minded the Amazon pickups for ne as well. I definitely would teturn to stay here again in the future.

The hotel was nice enough. Room is small but it had a chair to sit in so I appreciated that. It's nice to not have to sit on the bed the whole time you are in the room. I love that there were water dispensers on each floor. The water coming out of the bathroom sink was a little yellow so I wouldn't have wanted to drink that. It did eventually run clear but seemed to be yellow each time I turned it on. Staff was friendly enough but not overwhelming,as I prefer. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. Smack in the middle of midtown, one and a half blocks from St. Patrick’s, or that other cathedral— Saks! My room was great for a solo trip into the city; would have been tight if my husband had been along. But the bedding was great, and the room surprisingly quiet. Walkable to Central Park if heading uptown, grand Central if heading downtown; theatres if heading west, shopping and restaurants if heading east. In other words…midtown! No restaurant in the hotel, and it’s a mostly electronic check in (friendly if sparse staff, therefore). Perfect for access to Rock Center or Radio City as well. Would go again if traveling alone.

We had a cockroach in our room, and when we told management they said they would clean the room asap. It wasn’t cleaned until hours later, and they said they left “goodies” to apologize- there was nothing in our room left for us. Great location though

BEST LOCATION IN MIDTOWN!

This is one of my favorite hotels! The dream location across the street from Rockefeller Center, blocks to the theater, Nordstrom, Lifetime and all the millions of favorite restaurants! NYC is a walking town ... make it your best day staying at The Jewel!
