This is not your traditional hotel. They have no amenities and the room is just a bed, small fridge, and bathroom. There are no nightstands or dressers for clothing. The tv is a Roku device so you have to use your own streaming service if you care to watch TV.

The staff was so accommodating. I got in early around 1pm, 3hrs before check in and they were able to fast track and get me in earlier. Definitely will be staying here again every time I visit NYC! Thank you again

The best hotel staff you’ll ever meet! Everything about this place was great. The room was clean, the bathroom was spacious, the location is convenient and walkable and inside it was peaceful and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

I booked and paid half the price to confirm the reservation for the Sonder Hotel (The William Apartments Midtown) from July 22 to Aug 06. On July 22, we were informed that our hotel reservation had been cancelled, without explanation, but they offered us an opportunity to stay at another Sonder hotel (Chambers Hotel Central Park South), When we arrived at the Chamber Hotel on July 22, we were charged half of the price and then the other half at the same time: I was told that William Apartments would refund my initial deposit within a week. But I had not received my refund to the end of my 15 days holiday. We went to William Apartment Midtown to request a refund. and I was told that we would receive a refund within a few days. After returning to Australia, I noticed some transactions on my bank statement from the Sonder Hotel: August 3, 2025: Sonder.com San Francisco 2394.4 USD $3684.99 AUD August 7, 2025: Sonder.com 16173000956 2394.4 USD 129.71 AUD -$3835.81 August 10, 2025: Sonder.com San Francisco 1196.70 USD $1831.50 AUD I should receive a refund for my first payment 0f $1196.70 USD (about $1922.37 AUD) but now have only received $1680.68AUD (from above transactions: $3684.99-$3835.81+$1831.50= $1680.68). why did they make three transactions to refund me? They make a mistake, right? Since I lost money due to their cancellation of my reservation and the mistake when they made a refund to me, shouldn't they compensate me?

I just had surgery, arrived and checked in to my room, the room was freezing, when adjusting the thermostat it did not work properly I took a bath and the water was only tepid warm, the bathtub leaked so water was all over the floor Alerted staff at front desk, personal came up and wiped the floor down, they could not give me another room as hotel was booked Next day maintenance came to fix the bathroom but nothing was done about the thermostat I was in room 407, terrible room that needs to be repaired for all its faults I was stressed and very uncomfortable and had a horrible stay Also there is no manager available, only by email It’s ridiculous to rate this as a 4 star hotel or give it any rating at all This is by far one of the worst hotels in the Marriott chain

Excellent stay in a great location

Excellent stay. In a great location and surprisingly quiet given its midtown. Staff were super friendly. Room was modern and had everything we needed. Only downside was that there was no safe in the room.
