There were many things done well- room and bed are comfortable and efficient. Host reception was friendly. The shade meant to cover the window was broken and this meant waking way too early. The shuttle at the airport arrived 40 minutes after calling the front desk and waiting in hot sun during a heat wave. When I finally made it to the room a fire alarm was tripped by a rug cleaning crew with hoses all over the front entry- had to grab bags and walk down 8 flights of stairs. Not a great time but most of the staff were decent.

The room was clean, the hotel was quiet, and the staff was great. However, the air conditioning was not working well in a major heat wave and they could neither fix it nor move us to another room. You are required to pay for parking with a separate company that shares the lot - their staff was NOT great, and the cost was exorbitant for my car to be sitting in the surface lot and returned to me smelling like weed.

Loved the stay, staff was wonderful and having transportation to & from the airport is a pro, the only thing is the room is not clean, found toe nails, dirty sheets and dust on the floor, piece of chip under the fitted sheet.

Getting to this hotel was a bumpy adventure through a scary part of Newark. My sister and I were surprised that we ended up at this hotel, which was gated and safe and beautiful! We only stayed overnight to get to our flight in the morning and felt safe during our stay, but the area around the gated property wasn't the best.
