My go-to Newark Hotel

Great hotel find that has perfect location with restaurants right next to it, offered shuttle services to and from airport and cruise port, and customer representatives were very friendly and helpful.

The property itself is good. The airport shuttle driver showed up at the pickup and sat in his vehicle for a few minutes and then left without picking up any of the people waiting.. I called and he went on break so we waited over an hour and ended up taking a shuttle for the hotel across the street.

Checkin was horrible. The receptionist couldn't find my booking and made us wait for 40 mins. Once in 10-15 mins, when I asked for the status, she was very rude asking me to just wait in a very arrogant tone. As if she was doing us a favor. They messed up and not an iota of apology or concern their mess up caused. Gave wrong info about the breakfast hours. Couldn't understand our parking situation and tried to double charge us (we pre-booked parking already) After checkout, I got charged with no explanation. Contacted them for an explanation but didn't receive any.

The hotel is in an area close to shopping and the airport. The shuttle runs every half hour to the Newark Airport. It is close to two restaurants and Is on a bus route. It felt safe to walk the area and to the mall.
