Our stay

The location and surrounding area was fun and we had a very good time outside the hotel, but I wasn't very happy overall with our hotel stay for a few reasons: 1. Because despite Hotels.com assuring me that all taxes and fees were included in my booking the hotel still charged me a "destination tax" or "destination fee" upon check-in. 2. My room smelled badly when we came in and we pretty quickly realized the smell was mostly emanating from the air conditioner. We requested that they change the filter, and that indeed did help the bad smell dramatically. 3. They did not inform us upon check-in that room cleanings had to be requested and required an extra fee. The service was generally lackluster and not up to the standard of hospitality that I've been accustomed to travelling much of the globe.
