Absolutely one of the most outdated hotel I’ve stayed. Not looking for fancy stuff, but this place needs major upgrades. Air conditioning is noisy and malfunctioning, almost impossible to sleep. The sink outside of the bathroom barely has a space for you to put your bathroom stuff. The carpet feels gross, sticky. The fridge had leftover from the previous guest.

I booked this property through expedia. Paid all the charges, but when we went to the property, they charged as more for different kind of fees. Also they charged as for parking but I think that’s on expedia because it was never clearly mentioned on the site. Room that we paid $176 already, I ended up paying morw than $250 which doesn’t not make any sense. Everything should be clear at the time of booking and hotel shouldn’t have charged us again at the time of check in.

Staff just horrible! Not sure if they are told to lie to the customer or do they just do it on their own? Complete process a disaster! Check in a disaster, lined up all day and night, staff just horrible, more interested in conversation with each other than doing their job. Hotel very old, damage everywhere u look, needs total renovation. Not one person has any clue of rooms, location, type? One of our rooms was in parking lot overlooking all kinds of garbage and room was dated back to the 50s or 60s. Absolutely the worse room ever and to add to it the absolute worse condition also. Does the Oakes have any quality control at all? Or just get as much money as you can? The same horrible owner owns the Hilton also and that is not very well maintained either? Added feature! Garbage from night before left in front of our room all day and night! Paid top dollar for garbage! Hotel needs complete reno! Drywall, paint, decor, carpet, doors, windows? I would guess maybe 1 in 4 windows are unable to see through as completely fogged up on the inside between panes? Take some pride! Just do maintenance even? Maybe all drywall falling apart might be a start? Maybe all outside trim that has blown off everywhere and looks horrible, fix that? Almost forgot? We where on 14th floor and was scared every time going up elevators? Didn’t think we where gonna make it? Fix elevators before someone dies! Maybe when a fatal accident does happen, someone might read this?

The floor that they gave us is really nice view which is the fallsview. Room was very clean and the room was very spacious and comfortable.
