Overall it wasn't bad. However the upstairs neighbors were not very friendly. None of the doors closed good, including the main entrance doors. The doors inability to close properly was a big concern. The deadbolt worked good but the latch for the handle did not.
Excellent stay. All amenities were great. Just couldnât get heat to get above 65. Iâm sure that was on my part. Great location. 5 minutes strait down the street to the falls. Thank you so much. Great family memories.
This was a perfect place for a short term stay in Niagara Falls. There was plenty of space and the beds were comfortable. We didn't use the kitchen but it was spacious and well equipped for anyone wishing to cook. Only one small concern is that the bathtub is slippery and there are no grab bars.
Pro: close to the falls, safe and well lit parking location and coffee included.Cons: cleanliness needs attention, kitchen needs stocked more and you hear everything the upstairs neighbors do.We stayed at this property throughout 3 days and noticed that the kitchen and floors were not as clean as they should have been. After walking around the bottom of our feet were dirty. Then we went to cook and noticed that some basic kitchen essentials were not provided (measuring cup, rubber spatula, and whisk). Throughout the 3 days we heard everything the upstairs neighbors did (dog running around, moving furniture, and snoring at night) and the TV also had poor connection with the ethernet cable and was unable to connect to wifi so watching tv was not easy. For a cheap vrbo near the falls it wasnt overall a bad place but would not recommend for light sleepers or based on the cleanliness. The photos below show a paper towl when we wiped up a little water on the floor and the dirty fridge door.
We booked for 3 days , only stayed one . The neighborhood was very run down . The house , while old was updated to meet all your needs but has upstairs renters that were very noisy . Sounded like they were moving furniture back and forth for over an hour , car alarms blaring ,etc. I voiced these concerns to the host but didnât get a response .
Wow the location is perfect for average person (fitness wise) for walking to see the Falls and most of the things youâre hoping to do. We walked to Devils Hole, Whirlpool gorge trails and to the Falls and around the downtown area. Walked across Rainbow Bridge to view the Falls from Canada side and back to the home. The property met our needs and we were thrilled to find the washer and dryer in the basement. Used two of the three bedrooms. Few things: smears from fingerprints were all over the surfaces including the coffee table and the fridge. Thick dust in places made it seem like it could use a deep clean. We didnât bring our pet but being pet lovers we understood the pet smell in the entryway and front room. The home has all the kitchen items we needed and a comfortable bed and places to connect our devices! We wished the internet streaming service was faster so our late night movie watching had less lag time. Still, that being said I would definitely rent again as Iâm sure the cleaning situation was some kind of a glitch.
Overall everything was as expected, cleanness, beds comfortable, and ac on point, Kitchen cleaned and ready to use, coffeemaker ready to go, parking spacious, and the Niagara falls right in 5 min driving. Quiet neighborhood and safe.
Our trip was planned to visit Niagara both on the US and Canada side. The house is well equipped and comfortable. The front porch is great for some relax time. It's an old home with cool hardwood floors and lots of charm. It's not the Ritz, so if that's your expectation, keep looking. The location is great! You can walk to the end of the street and see Skylon Tower and even the nightly fireworks at the falls. In just a few minutes, you can be driving across the Rainbow Bridge, or on the US side, you can visit Goat Island or make a short, scenic drive to Lewiston or Youngstown. There are several state parks and hiking trails nearby. There a nice parking area behind the house, which is very well lit, in case you happen to be out late.Matt follows up quickly with questions and was a excellent host.
We enjoyed our two nights there. It was very clean. Kitchen is amazing! It's an old house in an old neighborhood, so keep that in mind. The location was perfect for getting to the falls! We would stay here again if we were ever traveling there again. No complaints on our part.
Rooms were all as pictured. Clean, spacious, and well supplied. The neighborhood probably saw its prime decades ago. It was within in spitting distance of a Gorge side trail. Only about a mile from the center of all the attractions. The biggest negative was my not fully appreciating the noise factors of having upstairs tenants in an old creaky house. Particularly ones with two dogs that like to run across the floors and play or whatever. Once we had to wait for a few minutes for a barking dog to be restrained before entering through the common exterior door. The accommodations were an economical option but we wouldn't stay there again.
Nicely remodeled kitcen and bath, but features of older home charm still present in other areas. We had difficulty with consistent heat as thermostat setting seemed to change temperature. Front of house was much warmer than back bedrooms. Missing fan remote in back bedroom caused confusion as front bedroom remote was also working in the back bedroom. Could hear occupants above. Coffee with cream and sugar provided was great but kitchen was a little bare (ex: no plastic wrap or condiments) compared to other places we've stayed. Location to the Falls was great. Easy to navigate to several attractions in the area. Nice to have space for four adults which is what we wanted and prefer instead of hotel. Easy check in process with communication from the host.
