I chose this apartment for an extended stay because the location is excellent. It’s within walking distance of the Port, Old Nice, restaurants, grocery stores, and public transportation.
Unfortunately, the apartment itself did not match the listing or my expectations. Upon arrival, I found a stained comforter, stained and discolored upholstery and storage bins, chipped drinking glasses, residue in the kitchen and bathroom sinks, and heavy mineral buildup and deterioration on the bathroom fixtures. Overall, the apartment showed clear signs of deferred maintenance and insufficient cleaning.
The bathroom was especially unpleasant. Whenever the bathroom light was turned on, an extremely foul odor filled the room while the ventilation was running.
The building’s common areas were dimly lit, the lobby door was difficult to maneuver with luggage, and an extermination notice posted in the hallway created an unsettling first impression. While I can’t speak to why it was there, it immediately made me question the condition of the building.
The balcony was also disappointing. Although advertised as an amenity, there was no outdoor furniture, making it difficult to actually enjoy the space.
I dont expect perfection, but I do expect a property to be clean, well maintained, and accurately represented. The location is this apartment’s greatest strength, but the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall condition fell well short of expectations. I would not recommend it for an extended stay
