Perfect for getting off the train..hotel right there. Easy access to Arena.
Was very hot at end of July, and A/C was a little weak...but made sleep possible.
It's a mosquito nest not a hotel. I slept maybe 3h that night, killed like 7 mosquitoes. Other guests had the same problem-saw lots of marks on the walls and no, you can't open the window so no idea how did they get there... Guest next door was watching very loudly TV, until 3- It was like I was watching it with him right by the TV... And I he was coughing all night. Literally every 20 seconds. Avoid!
Due to excess heat in the area, the lift malfunctioned for several hours, otherwise a great stay.

Small and noisy
My hotel was small but, good enough for me. It was close to the train station and reasonably priced. The fact I had to request housekeeping service was annoying but, I always got it. The main problem I had with the hotel and why I would not recommend it is because, the walls were thin. The thin walls meant it was super noisy. I could hear everything and I mean everything my neighbors on the other side were doing and saying. Plus if I had neighbors on the floor above it was like they were stomping on my head. I barely got any sleep at this hotel. My recommendation is to stay elsewhere.
Nimes has lots to see, but not as much to do. It does not have a tourist mentality: e.g., we arrived on a Sunday and were told everything was closed at by the tourist info bureau, but found many restaurants and other businesses open. But everyone was friendly and the ruins were amazing.
The hotel was just a stone's throw from the Gare and most convenient for train travelers. The historical landmark arena was also just a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The provision of separate toilet and bathroom distinguished it from most hotels we stayed in France and was a bonus. The only snag in the room was the total lack of user instructions on the eccentrically designed remote control for the air-conditioner.

Decent hotel, close to the train station and Arene
I stayed in Hotel Cesar with two friends for a concert at Arenes de Nimes. We were only staying for a night, so we searched for something inexpensive, with close proximity to both the train station and the Arenes. With this hotel, we got exactly what we were looking for. Although the rooms were outdated, it was a good place to come sleep after a concert at the Arenes, and it was easy to get to the train station in the morning.

Good for a stopover in Nimes
The hotel is very close to the train station, and an easy walk into the old part of Nimes and all the sights. The facilities are adequate for a stopover, but the soundproofing of the rooms proved inadequate when, completely outside of the control of the hotel staff, some obnoxious French occupants of other rooms on the floor decided to party late, argue, slam doors and physically fight in the hallway at 0100 in the morning
After dragging our suitcases around Europe and struggling to find our hotels, it was such a relief to find this hotel which was about 100 metres from the station and so very close to all the things we had come to Nimes to see. The staff was very helpful and despite the language difficulties they were prepared to meet our every need. The buffet breakfast was generous, the beds were comfortable and we had clean towels every day. It was good value for money and given its position and the friendly staff we would recommend it to weary travellers.
We stayed at this hotel last year and chose it again because it has triple rooms (so much more cost effective than having to take two rooms) and is very close to the gare .We were pleasantly surprised to discover that the hotel had been refurbished since we last stayed. Our room had a new shower room and a separate toilet, and new carpet on the floor. The room and the corridors had been repainted. Also, the new owners/managers spoke nice standard French, as well as some English. [As much as I love the South of France, the accent can sometimes defeat me.]
