King Nept

Super fun room! Not your ordinary decor. Kind of tacky, but I That’s what gave it charm! Felt like we were sleeping in King Neptune’s room. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Bathroom was dated, but it was clean. Front desk was very friendly and accommodating. View was amazing and great trails to walk! We had a great time!

Ocean View Lodge

Stayed at Ocean View Lodge. Easy check in, large comfy rooms, beautiful view from private balcony. Kept the trip simple with pizza from D'Aurelios (absolutely delicious), went to Egghead's for breakfast first morning (an absolute must) and visited Cowlick's twice! A beautiful, relaxing friends getaway!! 😎❤️🙏

Gorgeous views of the Pacific even in our downstairs room. Everything was clean. Interesting decor, kinda funky in a good way! Pillows were thick and firm. Should have brought my own pillow but plenty of seating and room. Can’t wait to stay again.

Great Ocean View!

Every room has a beautiful ocean view & a balcony. We were on the second floor and it was great to leave our door open all night and listen to the waves, (there was a screen to keep out bugs). While the bathroom was a little outdated, it was large and the shower was great. There’s no maid service, which we were fine with. If we needed more coffee or towels, we just walked across the parking lot to the front desk and they happily took care of us. there is no elevator so if you have mobility issues, be sure to request a room on the first floor. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the comfortable chairs every day we were there. There’s plenty of walking trails along the ocean and I, at 66 yrs old, had no issues walking a fairly steep trail down to the beach. We will definitely stay here again.

Great view, comfort issues

We had a terrific view from the second floor and enjoyed having a private balcony. Agree with other reviewers that the large ornate gold accented furniture does not fit well and is gaudy. I bumped my leg on the ridiculously oversized bed baseboard. Overall the room is fine enough and pretty large. Bathroom has a very low sink and toilet which was a bit awkward but it could have been an ADA friendly room, or maybe they’re all that way. Shower was a bit awkward because of the size and angle. The jetted tub was a plus though! The main reason for docking two stars is because of the bed. It is one of the hardest I’ve slept on. My husband likened it to sleeping on a “wood plank”. If I stayed here again I’d need to bring a mattress topper. It was painful. The owners should stay in one of these rooms for a few nights to check the comfort level for their guests.

The property was nice and clean, and we love the proximity to the ocean, which is our main reason for going. We've stayed at Ocean View Lodge at least seven times. The only dislike I have is the upgraded furniture in the room, it's not appealing and the beds are not comfortable.

The perfect weekend getaway

Motel style property and the room was setup with style and comfort in mind. The location was perfect 5 minutes walk to the beach and a 5 minute drive to the downtown shops and restaurants. Friendly people throughout the town. Will visit again!
