We had a girls weekend trip. The house itself is cute. It’s old but cute for a little cottage. The sheets and towels were probably washed but they were all stained. The back deck and patio areas looked like they had never been cleaned
layer of dirt and tons of cobwebs everywhere (especially under the deck which is what you see from down on the patio. So we didn’t get to enjoy any of the outdoor areas or the hot tub (cobwebs hanging over you and spiders obviously with the webs). It was a big disappointment for how much money we spent.

It was great for what we needed. A few concerns;1. The toilets in 2 bathrooms backed up but were plunged out. Could the septic tank need to be checked?2. We were unable to connect to the internet which is big for us. We discovered the password had been changed but we were not aware - because the welcome book in the kitchen was not updated. Also- the owner mentioned a technician would be there to fix this but we were not leaving our son’s wedding to meet the tech. The next day we contacted the owner twice but did not hear from her. Very disappointing. 3. One shower door leaked- we had to use towels to prevent wet floor. 4. Several light bulbs were burned out in kitchen and we were into use the lights over the bar in kitchen - touch pad broken?Other than those things we loved the location.

Comfy beds!

The place was nice and the stay was good. There were small things that can be better (i.e. more wash clothes and rugs at least at the entrances for shoes. The hottub needed to be cleaned. The beds were comfortable! It was great having so many bathrooms for everyone. The kitchen had a nice amount of space. The garage has parking, but it should be noted it will only fit a small car nothing medium to large size. Its close to stores and easy to get on the main road. I would definitely stay again!

Not prepared for guests

Extremely dirty with cob webs, spiders and bugs everywhere, windows and screens so dirty couldn’t see outside. Many things weren’t working, toilet,hot tub, sink faucet sprayed everywhere,couldn't lock two doors to outside just to name a few. Lake Water was extremely dirty, mossy, nothing like pictures showed.Owner apparently interested in selling and not concentrating on upkeep or guests who paid a premium price for poor quality.

Overall a nice place to stay.

The neighborhood was nice. The different levels of the house were good for accomodating our family. A few minor repairs were needed. We didnt use the hot tub due to lots of spiders all over it. The property manager helped us locate enough life vests, and was very helpful. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

VRBO Host Did Not Provide Timely or Useful Responses

There was a grease fire on the grill and she did not send anyone over to clean it- we had to clean it. On our last day she sent a refrigerator repairman over. Between the filthy grill and the broken fridge we lost a lot of food. She did not offer to reimburse us for the loss of food. Dirty sheets were on the bed in the Master Bedroom and on the floor in multiple closets. I hope VRBO steps in.

Voyage en famille avec de jeunes enfants
This lake home was a perfect place for my parents to take their children and grandchildren. The kitchen was perfect to prepare meals in. There was enough room for everyone to spread out. The teens took the bunkroom, little kids took the basement, and the grandparents took the main floor. The deck was large and spacious enough for several people to fish. We were able to pull our pontoon boat that we rented up to the dock. We made nice use of the kyaks and paddle boats provided as well as the tube in the garage. The hot tub was great on one rainy day, and for evenings after the littles went to bed. We loved the porch. If I have to find one criticism, it’s that the exterior could use some maintenance. The interior is spotless and very clean

Family vacation

We had a nice week. Eagle Pointe Lodge fit all 11 of us comfortably. Best feature: the "bunkhouse" room. Worked out great for all of the kids. I was disappointed in the location of the house, which was totally my fault. I knew that the house was located in a cove, but it is pretty full of lily pads. No one would swim off of the deck, especially without a ladder. The back door to the deck is impossibly hard to open and close. We did try some oil, but it didn't work well. When we opened the hot tub on our second day in, it was disgusting. It smelled like fish and was not a clean clear color. Crystal was very quick to respond and had her maintenance crew come out. Unfortunately, the tub had to be drained, refilled and come back to temperature. Once that was completed, the kids were in it non-stop. We use VRBO regularly and enjoy traveling around to different lakes and properties for our summer family gatherings. I doubt that we will be back to this property for that reason, but all in all a good week. Thanks, Crystal.

Fun location

We loved the furniture and the location. It would have been better if there were kids life jackets, the deck and yard had poop on it. There wasn’t any soap or garbage bags and toilet paper.. there were ants in the kitchen and hair all over the shower. It was a fun home for our family.

Weekend Getaway

The house was in good shape and well suited for a large group. We had 10 that slept comfortably. Property manager responded promptly. Some minor misinformation on the VBRO site (likely just out of date) such as an incorrect WiFi password and sending the door code the day prior to arrival, but these were minor things that were resolved promptly with no issue. Overall an enjoyable experience and a nice setting on the lake. Some nearby gunshots in the early morning hours both days could be heard... possibly target shooting.

Fall Break Getaway

The neighborhood was very quiet and tucked away from any busy roads. The home was as described and with lots of decks to enjoy the views. The owner has a wonderful eye for decorating and although every room was beautiful, our favorite room was the bunk room, so fun! The teens loved the kayaks and paddleboat and the private dock for fishing. The weather was a bit cool during our visit and the hot tub was a favorite place to warm up and hang out. We brought our own wood for the firepit, but were pleasantly surprised to find a nice stack of dry wood waiting on the back porch. My one suggestion would be for a better equipped kitchen
there were no dish towels to be found, an empty dish detergent container, and no mid-size pots. But we were able to manage and had several wonderful meals while enjoying the beautiful lake views from the wonderfully long dining table. Closest grocery store (Neighborhood Fresh) is convenient and only a few minutes away and there are a few cute antique stores to roam through in North Webster. Shipshewana and Middlebury are an enjoyable 45 minute drive through beautiful countryside and Amish country if you’re looking for something additional to do. Overall, wonderful place and the owner was fantastic to work with. Thank you for opening your home to us.

Wonderful Lake House Getaway

Beautiful lake house and great location for our family weekend getaway. Perfect size for our family of 10 ( 6 adults & 4 children). The host was friendly and quick to respond with our questions and concerns. We all enjoyed fishing off the dock, evening campfires in the fire pit and all the little extra amenities that the host provided. My grandchildren especially enjoyed the complimentary snacks and coloring books with crayons! It was nice that lots of beach towels and bug spray were even provided. The home was pretty clean just a few issues with lots of small flying bugs (gnats?) and we were concerned about the very strong bleach smell in the hot tub so we did not use it. We enjoyed the home very much and would consider staying there again or recommending it to family or friends.

Great location and great hospitality

We arrived to find some tasty treats awaiting my family and friends’ family! The view is great and the dock made renting our pontoon boat for the weekend super easy and fun. The house had more than enough space and beds for our two families. This host really went the extra mile to make sure our stay was top notch, even offering to buy us pizza when something small was not working properly. Thanks for allowing us to create memories at your place!

Very clean well equipped

We had a wonderful time at the property. Very clean, well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub, the paddle boat and the canoe. Beautiful views of sunrise from multiple decks And backyard. Plenty of space for everyone. The Host made it extra special for us and even prepared a birthday basket for my husband to enjoy. Kids had a great bonding time in the spacious bunk bed room. Very comfortable and well organized house.
