Amazing!

Breakfast on the whole was exceptional but maybe the scrambled eggs needed some work, aside from that no complaints and the speed of service was excellent. Awesome location with views outside the property and staff are very outstanding. Hotel is currently being updated which is being done without minimal disruption to the guests. Highly recommended. Just make sure non transport guests please be aware of the local bus service because they are very limited (this has nothing to do with the property).

They hotel was good. Staff were excellent. Food was good, but limited room was nice with a good bed. The bathroom was very out of date. You couldn't use the shower. Needs updating and modernising possibly bath, ripping out and a big shower unit. Putting in very quiet at night.

Lovely, quiet situation overlooking the stathe. Friendly, welcoming staff. No food served after 7.30pm. Room overlooked the pub/hotel garden so could hear locals chatting until closing time but it didnt affect our 1 night stay. Room was looking a bit tired but they are gradually upgrading rooms. Breakfast had limited choice but very tasty English breakfast and fresh coffee served. We would return.

A lovely little find, perfectly located for a trip on The Broads, or sitting watching the boats and wildlife. Great sized rooms. Excellent choice of breakfast freshly cooked. Enjoyed a couple of evening meals on site. Staff go above a beyond and are icing on the cake at this lovely old hotel.

Overall stay was ok. Food and service at the bar and breakfast very good and friendly. I appreciate that the owners are in the process of refurbishment. We had an occasional table with knick-knacks in our room that served no purpose whatsoever. Space would be put to better use with a chair or maybe a wardrobe as a rail with three hangers is of no use whatsoever. A rail is fine but more hangers are needed. Paintwork on walls chipped and masking tape needs to be used when going from wood work to plaster as this was very untidy and slap-dash when didn’t need to be. I am a dog-lover and was great to be able to bring our dogs into the bar but my god there were dogs everywhere!! You need some space where non dog lovers can get away from them - maybe the dining room?

A super place to stay.

Our room was a little careworn. But enough of the negatives. The main building and the location were super. The staff were fantastic. An absolute delight. They were worth the stay alone. We had a family dinner one evening which was very good. Our room was as mentioned before, a little "tired" but spotlessly clean and fine for our three night stay. Breakfast was super; just the thing to start the day, BUT, please get an expresso machine for when we stay again.

Nice hotel in lovely location

A nice hotel and in a lovely location. The breakfast was good and the service was friendly. Drinks were reasonably priced. The hotel was very dog friendly but the stairs were very steep (it's an old building) so I had to carry my dog up and and down the stairs (and he's not a small dog). This couldn't be helped by the hotel but I wouldn't stay there again if I had my dog with me.
