The heating system was odd we set it at 21c but came back to near 30c. We went in my BEV . Before going I read the website which doesn't mention on site charging but in reality they have it so I could have saved some money not charging up before arriving. They charge £5 per night to charge at I guess a low kW rate..

Wonderful memory thanks Maids Head Team

We stayed for the 1 night only (Thursday) and arrived by bus because the carpark charge online looked to expensive. Whilst we were upgraded on arrival toi a newly decorated level 1 - in room 109. A Gorgeous quiet and warm room with a settee and chairs. When walking to the Norwich Cathedral next door we saw a beautiful old Bentley car parked out front which is one of three classic cars own by the hotel. We got a complimentary tour all around the City with the driver as guide. Fabulous thanks Maids Head for a truly memorable stay in Storm Benjamin!

Friendly helpful staff in a beautiful hotel. Wensum junior suite was lovely. Great location for exploring/walking Norwich historical areas including the Castle, Cathedral and Elm Hill. Large car park behind the hotel.

Freezing cold. Heating in the room didnt work, cold common areas where guests are all wearing coats and sweaters. Eco gone too Far. Apparently my room Was 24 Deg via there eco heating controls in reception but this clearly wasn’t working. Stains on carpet.

What a unique and historic hotel. We enjoyed a nice quiet room with a comfortable bed and excellent bathroom/shower. The staff was very accommodating and quite friendly. We loved their wonderful breakfast. Centrally located and great parking in a very congested part of Norwich. Highly recommended and supposedly the oldest hotel in the UK.

The hotel is in a great location, easy to walk into the city or to the station. There are some great dining options around the hotel. We stayed in the Surlingham suite which was gorgeous. The view in the morning of the cathedral was fantastic. The staff could not have been more helpful, everything we asked for they accommodated. We'd definitely stay again!!!

Booked for a long weekend away. Very welcoming, friendly staff from the moment of check-in right through to checking out. Hotel location is ideal, being about 200 metres from Norwich Cathedral (Anglican) and making the town centre easy walking distance. The buffet breakfast was extensive and tasty. A complimentary 40 minute tour of the city in a vintage Bentley (weekends only) added to the whole experience.
