Shameful to have been awarded four stars

100% fell short of four star hotel. Absolute rip off for the price and very poor attention to detail throughout. Basics like hand soap dispensers were broken in all bathrooms. Breakfast juice was off and fizzy, bathroom on arrival had someone else’s hair bands on the floor, no loo roll in cubicles, the list was endless..I came here for a business event and hope to never have to return

I liked everything except finding a pubic hair on the bed sheet when I pulled back the cover. Sheet looked clean and I assume it had been washed but somehow this remnant remained. I would have thouhgt housekeeping would notice / check for such things when making the bed. Grossed me out somewhat.

Used the swimming pool. Which was great after a journey. Met my daughter husband and 8 month old granddaughter. Granddaughter loves the water. Room comfortable. Evening meal very nice and reasonable priced. As we were going to a wedding we asked for a packed lunch of sandwiches and crisps. Which were nothing special but over priced.

Not the best stay

Check in easy. Room as expected. Bathroom dirty had to wash bath and sink before i could use which although was not a hardship i shouldnt have had to. Cobwebs . No glasses for water. Breakfast 8.30 and run out of mushrooms no more being cooked that day. Coffee machine was difficult to work out. The bed was comfortable and had a good nights sleep. Until smike alarm went off at 7.30 am

The room was nice and had everything that we needed, plenty of parking and a good selection at breakfast. The leisure facilities were good but a little bit crowded so we didn’t stay long.

Hotel was as previous stay excellent. Very friendly stuff, excellent food, the most comfortable bed I have slept in in a hotel. I can’t fault this hotel and I’ve stopped in quite a few. Looking forward to going back there next week for another two nights.

Unfortunately our one night stay was tainted by the pool not being available for most of it (no info on this was given at or after booking!) and the delayed check in (unable to check in until after 5) - no compensation was offered... The evening meal in the restaurant was tasty however and the room was reasonable value and clean/tidy etc. altho was missing it's robes and had a loose toilet seat. The fridge floor was dirty. It would have been an overall 3-4/5, but I don't think this hotel can be trusted to deliver on what they promise so I cannot recommend.

Night stay for a birthday with spa expectations. Greeting was excellent. Pool a little tired along with changing rooms. Evening was excellent. Rooms quiet, clean with nice decor, a little tired in areas. But overall a nice experience.

Nice room but smelt strongly of dog

We booked a Suite. The hotel seemed fresh and fairly newly-built. When we arrived at the suite and opened the door. The smell of soggy doggy and dog wee hit our noses. There was a discoloured patch on the carpet (dog wee). We had just come from a disastrous stay at another hotel and were so tired, we dealt with the smell. The suite itself was very nice, well presented and the bed was very comfortable. I am not allergic to cats/dogs (having had both for years), but I woke up the next morning with red, itchy eyes and a streaming nose. If you do stay here without a dog, maybe ask for a room that is not dog-friendly to avoid these issues.
