There is a lock box at the main entrance (see photos.) Instructions and a code will be provided on check in day. The entrance to the main shopping centre in Nottingham is 100m from the front door. This has John Lewis department store and many other shops and restaurants. A small Tesco supermarket is just two doors away. The area is surrounded by shops and restaurants. 100m in the other direction you will find the Royal Theatre, Cine Cornerhouse (showing about 15 films) and The Royal Centre Tram stop. Market Square is a 200 m down King Street. Trent University City Campus is 400m and the train station 1000m (the tram connects with it). Outside, buses will take you to all parts of the city. Nottingham city has the highest density of 18-24 year olds in England because of the two Universities. There is an active night life to put it mildly! Nottingham Castle and the statue of Robin Hood is 800m and the Brian Clough statue (if you want to pay homage to the other local hero is 75m!) The National Ice Arena is 1000m and this hosts the Nottingham Panthers ice hockey team (one of the best in the UK) if you are looking for winter entertainment. In the evenings there are many pop concerts. There are a huge number of buses within 100m going all over the city. There is a taxi rank at the side of the Victoria centre 150m. The Euro Upper Parliament Street Car Park is 150m. The closest tram is Royal Centre 100m. It connects with the train station which is 1000m. Trent bridge cricket ground, Nottingham Forest and Nottingham City football grounds are 2-3 miles to the south of the city and are best reached by bus or taxi.
