Bespoke really needs to take a good look at this hotel and make some upgrades. If you choose to fly your country’s flag they should be in good order. Shame on you

The hotel is a grand old lady who has seen better days but is rather tired and frayed. However the view is super, rooms as clean as they can be, breakfast plentiful and varied, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Great location, beds were comfortable. The room was in great need of an upgrade. The bathroom was horrible moldy around the tub, the corridors smelled really badly of damp. I sometimes think when you book with trip adviser or Expedia you sometimes get the worst rooms. Wouldn’t stay there again.
Our room was on the lower first level. Very musty smell in the hallway that came into our room.

A kwirky hotel
The view is best in Oban. The building needs up-grading. The staff is friendly. Check in is at 3 but no one is working in the bar if you are early
My husband had to ask for toulet paper. There wete no towels available when we needed one.
Dont stay here if you want ameneties. Do stay here for the view and location. Dining is good. Make sure to make a reservation.

Well situated, clean and comfortable. A bit shabby but the sea view and friendly breakfast made up for that and I got decent value for the money.
On arrival, it felt more like arriving at a car park with a hotel attached to it, rather than a hotel with a car park. Guests are not allowed in the hotel car park without a specific separate booking which somewhat negated the warmth of welcome.
A very tired hotel, which is in the need of a lot of maintenance and refurbishment.
We expected to have the room serviced after the first night having placed the sign on the door and asked at reception, but it was not done, we had to ask for towels and for the tea and coffee at reception.
The window in the room was stuck open, had to use a lot of force to look close it.
It is rather overpriced for its condition.
I stayed in a single room at over £100 a night - it was like a cell. Narrow, dark, cramped. If you had been overweight you’d have had difficulty turning round in the “bathroom”. I asked for another room or to upgrade but they said they were full which, to be honest, I didn’t believe. The rest of the rooms maybe ok but I wouldn’t recommend a single
Would not advise anyone to stay here. Room and corridor needs a thorough clean, smells very musty. You're charged by the hotel to park your car, only to find someone else has taken your allocated space. The only positive is the linen was clean. This place needs a total revamp.
Hotel is shabby and unkempt. Room was dirty and had clearly not been properly cleaned, with a dirty used tissue left at the side of the bed. Mould and mildew in the tiny shower room. I won’t be surprised if we get are ill in a day or two after staying here. Unbelievable that it cost £135+ per night.
Good location, nice vintage property. For our trip it was perfectly suited.

The hotel looked a bit tired. The room was fine but the shower didn’t get hot. It seemed to only be a fault in our room. These things happen but it took a long time and a lot of going up and down from reception by us to get another room with a hot shower. We had a brilliant view though.
Only stayed one night and to be honest glad it was no longer. Oban is beautiful and this hotel looks grand on the outside. Inside is a different matter. Very worn, even dirty in places. Short staffed when we arrived and to be honest we felt sorry for the lovely girl on reception who bore the brunt of complaints from disgruntled guests. Very disappointed. At least the bed sheets were clean. Cold tap in bathroom leaked everywhere and towel rail held together with gaffa tape. Black mould on sills and cracks in ceiling. Whole place smells old and musty.

Quaint, but needs some maintenance. The restaurant food was very good, and there was a perfect view of the harbor from the front window.
