The hotel is literally falling apart. We let the front desk staff know we were checking out after our first night due to the conditions of the hotel. No hot water, door banging in the wind all night, creaky floors, peeling paint⊠crooked stairway, no elevator, spongy floors which felt like you might fall through. Overall one of the worst hotel experiences especially for how much they were charging for such poor conditions. Every other place I have stayed in Ireland and Scotland on this trip has been amazing, comfy beds and great breakfast for the same cost. This was disappointing in every way. Not even a good breakfast to help make up for the rundown condition of the property. Believe the bad reviews and do not book this hotel unless they do the promised renovations they say they will do. Until then they should be charging a hostel rate not a hotel rate. I honestly have never felt the need to leave a bad review but this one deserves it. Save your $$ for anywhere else.
