Easy check in process, Host was wonderful to work with and house was exactly as advertised and very spacious. Wonderful neighborhood close to everything we needed for my family reunion!
The home is beautiful! Plenty of room, very clean. We had 6 children and 6 adults. Everyone loved it. We had a great time! Itâs minutes from the Omaha Zoo, which is an amazing zoo!
Was in town for the CWS and this house was a very short Uber from downtown. Was pleasantly surprised how easily it housed 11 people, would definitely stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We had a large family group and it was perfect. Everyone found their perfect room. I really loved that it had coffee and sugar, very nice touch. It was also easy to get to and from down town and in a quiet street.
Our entire family gathered for a long weekend together. We visited the zoo and Illuminarium. The housed was conveniently located to both locations. The house offered lots of space for the 3 generations to pursue any activity they chose.
Stayed at this nice house to enjoy a weekend getaway to Omaha to take grandkids to the Zoo. Very spacious house which easily accommodated 7 adults and 5 children from ages of 3 through 7.
Clean and nicely updated.
We stayed an additional week and just to explain the location - the neighbor saves parking in front of her home even though she has a private driveway and she has signs about towing your car if you park in front of her home. Iâm unsure if she can legally put her trash cans curbside in the street to save spots or post towing signs.
The location is close to a lot including the highway. We felt safe taking walks in the day time and my brothers even enjoyed walking to Aldermanns which was 2 min away.
UPSTAIRS
Bed 1 - with private bath. Odd nook but a portable crib or single air mattress could fit.
Bed 2 and 3 - share a bath
Large common area that fits a Q-air mattress
MAIN
Bed 4 - shares bath with main level
BASEMENT
Bed 5 - HUGE. Bath has washer/dryer and small shower insert. Large common area that could fit 2 Q-air mattresses.
All baths equipped with shampoo, conditioner, wash dispensers. Water is hot with good pressure. Bedroom closets are spacious and supplied with hangers.
Iâd stay here again in 4 more years for the next graduation.
Carol is amazing to work with. She communicates well and is amiable to requests and suggestions. We were in Omaha for a college graduation that turned in to a family reunion.
The house has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and a very large dinner table with extra chairs. The basement is large and could easily fit 2 additional single or full sized beds. Carol accommodated our group with 3 additional air mattresses.
The basement is cold though and we didnât discover the space heaters until the end and yet they were in plain sight.
The porch light is set to motion which was difficult sometimes with elderly relatives. Iâd suggest solar lights along the stair path to the sidewalk too.
The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked (could use a big pot) Carol even had her staff bring us a new pizza cutter and blender. She also made sure that the propane tank for the BBQ was full.
Issues
- prior renters have been hard on the washer and dryer and you can tell. To open the doors you push on the silver button but prior renters were prying them open. Suggested an instruction sheet.
- There was chicken left on the BBQ which is probably not an area that staff usually check.
- minor maintenance issues were relayed to Carol and she was very open minded.
- Trash day is difficult because the cans are up by the house and need to be carried down.
Positives
- well stocked home (cleaning supplies)
- plenty of off street parking
- conveniently located
- friendly host and staff
The parking lot was not the best but the house was beautiful. We had to carpool. We didnât get enough time to enjoy it all but it was necessary at the time. And the neighbors are not happy at all.
Needing to be close to Kountz church and Durham museum for our nephews wedding the location was perfect to Uber to all events or take car to go grab something to eat. Our littles were 6 mo.- 6 years and had room to move and play. Wish the weather would have cooperated to play in the backyard.
My friends and I had our annual reunion and couldnât have chosen a better place to stay for the weekend! Plenty of room and bathrooms for us all to use. The location was also greatâlots of walkable restaurants and bars, easy 15 minute drive to entertainment/downtown area!
This house was absolutely perfect for our family Christmas. Large bedrooms with bathrooms. The house was buillt in 1800s, however, the entire home has been updated with a beautiful kitchen, top appliances, lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. Carol the house manager was extremely responsive to all of our needs. Due to family travel dates, we had to modify the dates of our reservations, twice. Carol was wonderful and accommodating to our changes. The location was great and it was a quick easy drive downtown to the Old Market and Gene Lehey Mall. I highly recommend this property if you are in town for a family gathering, college world series or any other sporting or concert events happening downtown or in Omaha in general.
The property was pretty much as described. The sofas/futon we're not sleeping options for our family which was disappointing. They would be fine for children, but not adults. Great resources withing walking distance and easy access to the interstate.
Excellent whole family property close to everything
This house was perfect for our party of 10. There was plenty of space for everyone to hang out and the house was close to the Old Market, the zoo, and the airport. It's clean and well-furnished, and had everything we needed.
The stairs are pretty steep and the property is street parking only, but otherwise the place was great.
This was a lovely place, close to the children's museum and fairly close to the zoo. There was a large dining table and a lot of chairs to accommodate the 8 adults and 6 kids. The owner was helpful and very responsive to our questions.
We checked in and it was very easy. The neighbors seemed nice but leave little to be desired as an eye sore of the neighborhood. The house itself is beautiful and spacious. I will say that the two flights of stairs are pretty steep. We had two seniors, 4 adults and 6 children from age 2 to 14.
The basement had laundry a bathroom and a bedroom. Weird layout and whoever gets that room is really separated from the rest of the group. The main floor has a bedroom right off the dining room. And the upstairs has the other three bedrooms and two baths. Well stocked kitchen with awesome appliances. Huge table where everyone can gather. Not a lot of seating in living room, we had a lot of people on the floor. The beds are not comfortable and two of them you can feel the bars from the frame, but there were two blow up mattresses in closets. I would strongly suggest better beds and fans for the upstairs as it was hot and even the kids complained of not being able to sleep. Even with the ceiling fans, the upstairs was considerably warmer.
The house comes with a wonderful front porch and back yard, however there is nothing for kids to do at the house itself. I would suggest a playset or board games.
If you go on friday, parking is hard between businesses closing and bars opening. Designated parking would be awesome but parking seems to be a huge issue in all of omaha in general so I dont fault them for that.
This home is beautiful and was the perfect way for our family of kids and grandkids to spend the weekend together! The home has been beautifully renovated and has everything you need for your stay. The host was very friendly and promptly responded to my questions via email. The home was secure with easy access. The only con was the lack of parking near the home, which was not the fault of the host. Would and will stay here again if needed.
