Great hosts. Room was a bit cramped, but very adequate. We enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again, probably in one of the cabins. Had everything we needed. Did I mention that the hosts/owners were awesome. Good location for the areas we wanted to visit.

Older motel, which was fine, but the room had a a damp musty smell. No ice machine. When I asked, the gentleman said, “I might have some ice”, and offered a little sandwich bag of ice. This was part of a 6 day UP trip and the most expensive hotel.

Very friendly owners. Every night they have a fire pit to sit around. Worked out great to have our dog and across the road is a path to get down to the beach. Enjoyed our stay very much

Cute property, but its old. Room had a strong old closed up musty smell and hard to breathe. It was clean, just very 60s70s dated. Staff was excellent. Walk to beach is easy and close. Great sunsets.

My room seemed clean enough but was put off my the dead bugs in the outdoor carpet on the stairs. Also they leave the heating pilot light on due to fluctuating weather. My room was 79 degrees unless I ran the AC full bore which was very loud.

Loved the room & decor. Hosts were exceptional. Had picnic tables which we took advantage of. Had a really long day 13 hours worth so was too tired to take advantage of their bonfire. Next morning before leaving we took advantage of their access to Lake Superior. Beautiful walk with surprises along the way. Close enough to the Porkies. Would stay here again.

Always a pleasant stay and experience. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. Well decorated rooms to get that rustic cabin experience. They have their communal camp fires in the evening which is fun. And their little beach property across the street to Lake Superior about a 5 minute walk.

We loved Sunshine Motel and Cabins. Exceptionally clean, quaint lodging. The owners were so friendly and accommodateing. The price was well worth it. The ability to visit the lake from their property was a plus! I definitely recommend this lace and would come back.

The rooms were clean, beds and aheets seemed newer. The owners were great and very helpful. We didnt get to enjoy the campfire due to a fire ban, but Im sure it would have been fun.
