Beautiful house in a lovely quiet street. Our only problem was that we have a dog and werenât aware that the back garden wasnât fenced off from the front. So I was constantly looking for my dog and worried if he was in the front garden. Also after booking we were told that it was a shared driveway, so I was even more worried about someone opening the gates so my dog might get out. I assume that access was only foot traffic to a gate at the back of the property next door, and I donât think anyone used it at all during our stay. Our trip was wonderful anyway, but would have been a lot more relaxing if I hadnât had to worry about my dog. I think it would be relatively easy to put another gate at the end of the long driveway.
We loved this accommodation so handy to everything in Orange loved that nit was Pet Friendly and a great secure garden for our Goldies. The house was beautifully appointed would have no hesitation to stay again and recommend it.
Family of 4 and dog all enjoyed our stay at the Oaks. Particularly liked the well equipped kitchen, big backyard for dog to run around, comfortable beds, lots of space, location - easy walk to town, information pack with handy information including dining options. Minor issues: internet did not work beyond the first day, front gate broken (although we managed to make it secure enough for our dog), more tissues would be nice (only 1 left in box), some dust in closets. Overall a great stay and we would love to stay here again.
We had a lovely stay. The property had everything we needed and the fully fenced yard was great for our small dog (who allow had a great time). The location couldnât be better. It is a short walk to cafes and bars and the centre of town, and yet it is still peaceful. Weâll happily stay there again.
We booked this accommodation at short notice. We needed somewhere pleasant, comfortable and practical to attend to business associated with the loss of a relative. I've been to Orange a number of times before and have always found good accommodation. The location was central to all our needs and requirements. Can recommend 'The Oaks" to those who love period accommodation with all the modern facilities. Nice back yard to relax within and well-dressed front yard to pass through as you enter the front door.
We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the stay. The home was really clean and comfortable and perfect location for a walk into the central shopping and restaurant area.
Only small disappointment was the absence as a cosy winter retreat with working fire place etc, but we had aircon so it really wasnât a problem overall.
The house is in a great central location in a quiet neighbourhood. The premises are well presented and were just as expected from the photos. Would definitely return to this spot when coming back to Orange.
This home was perfect for myself, my partner and our 16 year old dog. We were comfortable and had everything we needed. Our dog could wander safely - an enclosed yard and a tiny step into the backyard. Close to restaurants and shops. We have family in the area so know we can stay there again and come back to a home where we can relax after a busy day.
