Davenport Stay 2022

We enjoyed the property, the check-in was a bit confusing at first but otherwise all was well. There were a few minor issues (loose screws on cabinets, door handles etc) but we did not let that interrupt our fun. Thank you for letting us stay at your home.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

The condition of this home is practically unlivable. Every time we thought we found all the issues we stumbled upon another. The home is very dirty, which is even more concerning with the pandemic. So much is broken. The furniture in the tv area upstairs is damaged. There was a broken bed in one of the rooms. All of the gaming equipment in the garage is either broken or damaged. There was a huge roach in the garage. There is mold in the bathrooms. There was blood and urine stains on the sheets. We spent most of the first day washing the bedding from each room. The walls are disgusting. The carpet is dirty and has a very weird texture (crunchy). The furniture in the living room is stained, and many pieces broken. The jets in the hot tub are not working. Some doorknobs are broken. The sinks in the bathrooms clogged and wouldn’t drain. The closet is full of broken furniture. The few towels that are here are stained. I can’t believe they are renting a vacation home in this condition. And to top it off it was very difficult to get in contact with the property management. We contacted VRBO and they said it wasn’t enough mold to relocate us. I won’t be booking with them again. This home was a terrible part of an otherwise great family vacation.

World Series

We stayed here as a team for the softball World Series. Everything was very clean. The dishwasher was broken, but we didn’t mind doing the dishes. The couch was broken on the end. 2 of the beds were a little lopsided from broken box springs. Everything else was great.

Second time was not so much better !

I rented this beautiful property maybe 9 months ago . Couldn’t wait to get back . I booked it without looking at current reviews . I was shocked to see the horrible things that were said about the property. Once I arrived there were a few things that I was disappointed with because I expected the same experience as before , However the owner was very upstanding when I disclosed my finding to him . The property does need some TLC but overall it’s lovely . The property management company the owner uses should be fired . They are terrible and was of no assistance to me and my family . I had to go to Walmart to purchase towels was cloths , toilet paper , pots . There was not enough essential appliances for a large family staying for 5 days and though the neighborhood is very nice there is a family of large raccoons living next door that the neighbors literally sat garbage out for every night . I did not trust the kids to be safe playing out front . The final concern that I have is that we were unable to utilize the jacuzzi because the water was to cold . I had knee surgery not to long ago and I was really looking forward to relaxing in the warm bubbles of a jacuzzi. I feel like pools and jacuzzis are major components when selecting and paying for a rental property and the feature is included in pricing , but I don’t get a credit when I can’t use on of the major amenities

NOT COOL ! I sincerely hope the owner will keep his word and make the necessary changes to bring this beautiful home back to life

DON'T * 4K of Major Regrets * Expensive Poorly Managed Property

Slum-Lord is the term that comes to mind when I think of how this property is managed. We usually stay at our timeshare but after 15+MO of the world living on edge, this vacation was to be a really big deal for my family. 13 of us total, our children & grandchildren would be able to roam care free, w/o mask & restrictions for most of our stay. At the time of our final payment there was only 1 questionable review, 2 wks before our stay more neg reviews posted and I immediately contacted the host with my concerns. He (Frank) assured me that things would be taken care of with the new property manager. Instead, in addition to the many neglected repairs that rolled over from previous reviews, we checked into a completely uncleaned property. We made our final non refundable payment in June & by July 31 they were still unprepared for our arrival. Dirty rooms, bedding, towels, frig., stove, dishwasher, carpets, surfaces, nasty film on pool...etc. The last renters walked out & we walk in. ZERO quality control - there's NO Covid cleaning protocol. There is not even the 24hr break in-between renters. I spent hours calling all the numbers avail to me. Confining small children for hours to a limited space that we cleaned. Finally a cleaning crew and pool guy came, did the best they could and my daughters and I spent the next two days cleaning house and washing comforters. The property manager was completely incompetent and didn't want to take any responsibility over the failure. The Host asked if we wanted to stay...there was 13 of us, many traveled 14hours, where were we suppose to go? VRBO literally said that as long as they attempted to make it right, there was nothing more they could do. * they had to bring clean sheets and towels to the house, 1 comforter had poop, 1 bed in Harry Potter Room had pee so cleaners moved it to the garage, 1 bed in Star Wars broken & missing Box Spring , Laundry door broken & sticks, no hot water in washing machine, jacuzzi sometimes bubbles sometimes drained into pool, broken cabinet doors, missing smoke detectors in 2 BR, broken vase, broken chairs & stools, no slip mats in baths, kitchen missing many cooking apparatuses and utensils. This property was misrepresented and if you follow the reviews they had no intention of trying to make this right! I regret not following my instincts and looked more into getting out of this rental but we were already committed with plane & park tickets, car rentals etc.

Disgusting Property! Do NOT book!

The property is disgusting and not clean at all. My family and I didn’t stay one night. We immediately checked into a hotel. The bedding had dried saliva on the pillow cases, there was hair and old food on the floor. Dead insects on the carpet in most rooms. The pool was murmur and had old goggles and balloons from the party before us. Property manager is terrible and attitudinal. Do not book!

This home is not what we were expecting. Thankfully we were not in the house much. This house needs a lot of attention. It was dirty, lacked necessary kitchenware, the dishwasher did not work until we spent our own money and fixed it ourselves. The pool was dirty. It had clearly not been cleaned in a long time. The water looked murky and it had clumps of sand all over the bottom of it. The traffic coming into the resort area was horrible, which I realize is out of anyone’s control. I called the property manager multiple times with no response on both the pool and the dishwasher situation. The owners did promptly respond and said they were in the process of working with a new management company, but nothing was ever fixed. We stayed with two other families and are not people that complain, however if you are staying in this home with the hopes of being there most of the time during the day and using the pool we highly recommend staying somewhere else. It’s way too expensive for what it is.

Concerns

We enjoyed our stay because we spent so much time away from the property. Feedback: 1) the house had dirty walls up the staircase and on the walls upstairs 2) the water in the pool seemed dirty and not or under chlorinated. Our swimming suites smelled very bad after being in the pool & spa 3) their needs to be instructions on how to use the TV's - would have been nice to have basic stations available to watch for free 4) the traffic mess trying to get to the water park on most days was a concern. Trying to get into our property with the cars backed up so far had many of us driving on the side dirt property so we could turn right.

Easy to book with Vrbo, communication with owners was great both pre and post stay.

This was a great place to have three families get together after being separated for 15 months because of COVID. As usual, you spend more time at the parks than in the rental, but it was a great place to gather together at night for dinner and a relaxing evening by the pool. The property matched what is being presented online, just showing some wear that a interior refresh would just make better.

Perfect, spacious family house!

Overall, I had a wonderful experience here! This was my first huge airbnb with a big group of 20 and we had a blast! The pool and hot tub were great! The neighborhood was quiet, the Oasis Clubhouse was so fun! Definitely wish we took advantage of that more. For cleanliness, I gave this 3 stars. It smelled like stinky feet or maybe mop water upon arrival. The couch, dining chairs, bar stools were sticky and dirty. Some furniture was broken & could've easily been replaced or fixed. Our pillows smelled like mildew, which makes sense because the dryer there was weak. I had to run it at-least twice to dry laundry. The dish washer and sink disposal never turned on, the game room, theater room & lights in it were all inoperable. Naturally since those were not functional, we went for the TV on the very spotty internet. ‹The check-in process was fairly simple, communication with the property manager was there. If you ran into an immediate problem, it might be a little harder to get a hold of someone. I was told to give a list of registered drivers so that they may enter the gated community. Lost in translation, a few of our members were not allowed in, causing a panic arrival. It got figured out but It was hard to understand why names were missing. Now If you have high standards, this place is not for you. Keep in mind, this house was loved and used by many before you, so its not as perfect as in the pictures. It has some wear and tear. (Which honestly, should be fixed considering the amount of $$ it costs to rent.) It sucked because it wasn't cheap but we weren't there all day so we didn't let it ruin our vacation. That being said, I would rent a similar place like this again. I really loved the location, all the kids had a blast regardless and won’t stop talking about the house and the Clubhouse’s waterpark.

The house was nice. Needed maintenance. Cabinets were hanging, couldn't use the microwave because prior to our stay, someone broke the door off. Trash comes Monday thru Friday and didn't see them. Raccoons got into the trash. The house was big enough for what we needed. Kids had a lot of fun and the resort club house was excellent. The water slides and pool was great.

The house was perfect for a large family. Close to restaurants and the main attractions Disney!! The owner was easy to work with. The property was clean and the kids loved the theme rooms. It was great having so many king beds and bathrooms.
