Absolutely perfect for a Florida vacation. Location is close to everything and very easy to locate and check in and out. Will definitely be booking here again !
Appartment is clean, situated in a very good area of Orlando. Close to Disney parks and to many grocery stores. Check in and check out was very simple.Highly recommend!
My family and I stayed for 9 days. Communication with the property manager before check-in was easy. They answered all my questions promptly. There was additional validation outside Vrbo where I had to provide them more info. I didn't really mind since I have done it with previous rentals.Check-in instructions were straight forward and check-in was smooth. The resort community was pretty clean, the hallway was exposed to the outdoors which has its pros and cons. The property was well maintained, clean, neatly organized, same as the pictures on the posting. There were just a few minor things (blinds, a chipped plate, etc.) that I notified the property manager of when I arrived. They offered to send in maintainace but I declined because it didn't really bother me but I wanted a record so I wouldn't be charged with damages later. They do charge a security deposit but they refunded the deposit within 3 business days.During our stay, we had no issues with any of the facilities, getting in and out of the gated community was straightforward. Accessing the resort facilities like the lazy river was also easy. The resort facilities were also pretty clean (if you count the Florida love bugs during the spring/summer a part of the native scenery lol). The resort is very walkable so we enjoyed taking walks with the family around the neighborhood and watched the rain from the balcony. Overall, it was very positive experience and I would rent with this property manger in the future.
Our stay was for a cheer competition and the location was great. The music when we entered was a nice extra touch. The kitchen was well equipped with the items we needed to prepare meals and breakfast on the balcony was a great start to the day! We had a maintenance issue that was addressed and resolved immediately upon our reporting it. Communicating with the owner/manager was easy and efficient. Weâll definitely stay again if the unit is available.
The property, amenties, interior, and overall experience couldnt have been better. We had an issue with the cable tv that was fixed immediately. The condo was beautiful and the kids loved the pool. Great place
Great location and worked great for our visit to Disney and watching college football games on New Yearâs Day. Large TV and comfy seating.
As described, there are no kitchen amenities (not even salt and pepper) and no wash clothes. There is one dishwasher tablet and one laundry detergent packet.
Our stay was really good. Everything was very clean. The rooms have everything you could need, even a white noise speaker for the little ones! The communication with the staff was prompt and of easy access. We could take advantage of the amenities offered by the community.
We would definitely stay again.
Great location beautifully decorated. Beds are hard we prefer soft but we had an issue with the fridge first night there the ice maker was broken. Send a text immediately no one came to fix it until day before we left and it wasn't even fixed it kept leaking water all over the floor which meant I had to keep washing towels. I was on vacation was not happy about no ice and laundry. But everything else was great. Instead of a hold for a deposit they took and did a withdrawal. Which I wasn't happy about.
First of all, I really appreciate when people give descriptive and honest reviews, and I will try to do the same.
Place was very clean, except the baseboards could use a really good cleaning! Otherwise it looked just like the pictures.
Beds werenât that comfortable and the pillows were pretty flat in my opinion. Kitchen and bathrooms are very nice, but I have to say my biggest frustration with this rental is that they give you one kitchen towel, a very small container of dish soap that is so cheap it doesnât even suds up to wash dishes, one roll of paper towel, one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one small package of powdered dishwasher detergent and no kitchen wash cloth. We stayed for 8 days, and I cooked most of our meals there. I found it frustrating that I had no where to let pots and pans dry and had to wash everything by hand because we given one package of dishwasher detergent. And with one kitchen towel and no wash cloth it was challenging to clean things up! I had to go buy more toilet paper because we ran out. There was just 3 of us that stayed. And this rental says that 8 people can stay. Well you will run out of the basics and I think it would be in the managementâs interest to upgrade these amenities for guests.
From other reviews I saw that they donât provide bathroom wash cloths, so I did bring my own.
The view was beautiful and we sat outside often on the patio and could see the main pool area as well.
The pool that is designated for the apartments was really nice and much quieter than the main pool house/lazy river area and we enjoyed a day there. The main pool area is nice, but was very busy all the time. And we did go down during spring break, but I found that if we wanted chairs to sit in, I had to be at the pool house at 9am to put our towels out.
Overall I would stay at the resort again but a different unit if you plan to really cook and be at the resort more like we did.
Overall, we were pleased with the accommodation for the 3bd/2ba condo at Storey Lake Resort. The property was clean and had most of the amenities that you would want for your vacation stay.
There were a few things that we would modify to make this an even better experience. The first items that we would suggest an updating would be the mattresses on the beds. We found the beds to be too firm and not comfortable.
The other items that we wished would be included with the rental would be some additional amenities. For a family of 4 staying a week, we found that we needed to purchase extra toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, dishwashing tabs and laundry detergent during our stay. While we spent most of our time at the Disney/Universal parks, we did get to use the water park and other facilities on a limited basis. We enjoyed these amenities and feel that it is a benefit for families that may need to take a break from going to the parks every day.
The location of the condo was convenient to the parks, grocery store (Publix) and other mostly chain restaurants in the area. It was also very easy to get rideshare cars with our longest wait being about 5-10 minutes even for an XL vehicle.
We loved our stay here. The condo with all the amenities were awesome. The location was great. The parks and Convention center were all within a short drive. They had restaurants and grocery stores really close by. Had great communication with the owner and could not be more satisfied. We will stay with you again
Normally, I did not look to see who manages the VRBO properties that we have rented. However, I will from now on. I do not recommend Wonder Vacation Homes who managed the Storey Lake Condos in Kissimee Florida. Nor do the three other girls who stayed with me.
Upon arrival all the t.v.'s were on with the volume up, the deck door was not locked and a faux potted plant was knocked over and broken. I immediately took a photo and called the number provided to let them know we were a little scared to enter and that the plant/pot was broken upon arrival. Later, I also sent it in a text message thread we had used to talk and get check in info. with the photo (which would be time stamped) Long story short, we were charged $60 for it as well as 4 towels we did not stain. The AC did not work well while we were there and was set on 72 with a filthy air filter sitting outside the unit. They said we could go down to 71 - big whoop! However the unit would not budge. If that is their rule then provide ceiling fans, but there were none. The master bedroom mattress was on a wood frame that squeaked every time you moved. Not to mention the worn out sheets
that had little peeled balls of fabric on one side.
It is a shame because it was a nice size place, well decorated with a great kitchen.
They lost four return customers (and their families) over a $60 planter. We have been VRBO owners ourselves. Replacing towels/linens itâs just basic wear and tear. You donât nickel and dime every guest over stained towels/linens. That is also why you use white so that they can be bleached (which these were). Also, part of the check out procedure is for the guests to start washing the towels, so how do they even know if soap is used?
Weâve stayed in Storey Lakes several times but it was our first in this apartment. The logistics and communication with the company that manages the apartment was really not ideal. They didnât solve any of our issues (lack of supplies and internet quality) and responses through an online chat is 30-40 mins to get a response when needed.
The house didnât have the basics in the kitchen as other rental places. Also, toiletries were not sufficient for our entire stay and they told us to replace them ourselves. The customer experience is less than ideal. Some representatives in the chat were beyond rude and unfriendly. They had no baby supplies (crib, feeding chair) and they didnât facilitate any of this process and I had to find a 3rd party supplier to rent it. Besides doing the process through VRBO, which Im very used to, I had to go through a check-in process from the company Wonder Vacation Homes that are duplicate and annoying, having to send copy of our personal documents and credit card through a not secure website. Storey Lakes as a community is awesome, very convenient and close to the parks but will never stay at this apartment again.
