Great hotel

We enjoyed our stay. It is right on the lake with multiple bars and restaurants available. It is an older hotel but they were doing some work while we were there.

Checked in around 1 PM. Asked if they had any rooms in the main hotel area and they said they were fully sold out for the week which is expected because it was Fourth of July weekend. We went to our room two buildings over and had a basement floor room. It was damp, wet and moldy, and absolutely disgusting. We had to kill three large centipedes upon entering the broom.We went back to the front desk about 20 minutes later and magically. They found a one bedroom king-size bed in the main hotel. The room is definitely an upgrade, but the air conditioner is leaking all over the carpet and the floor was constantly wet. The property is very old and outdated. An odor in the halls, carpet dingy. Our room was clean, everything is just tired. Katie at the front desk was great and another lady. (Cannot remember her name)But, one young man was totally disinterested.

I don’t know why this place has such a low rating but I brought my kids here and it was amazing ! The views! The seating around the lake , the fact there’s a movie theater for the kids to go to while momma has a drink ! 4 or 5 swimming pools I mean this place is awesome!

Nice stay. Beautiful view of the lake. Staff was wonderful and accommodating. Currently undergoing renovations so indoor pool and hot tub was unavailable. I couldn’t book spa treatment I wanted even though I called in advance as they were booked and had limited services. I was not prepared for the mosquitos indoors.

Room was subpar. My colleagues who were traveling with me were put into much nicer accommodations with refrigerators. When I asked to switch I was told they were sold out— yes they were but there was a room right next to my colleagues that was empty. It should have been easy to switch. The wifi did not work in my room at all.

Lake view was great. Indoor pool with hot tub was closed. Reserved room with balcony and was not able to smoke unless walked to designated areas that are hard to find and not close. Lady that was working bar at pool was very rude.

Loved the place overall, however the balconies needed much cleaning. Cobwebs and spiders everywhere, u can tell it hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Also seen a snack in the walkway to the pool, noticed a housekeeper. Pool to the right side closest to water I believe the adult pool was very dirty and just not maintained well. Service was great, amazing customer service for check in and out. Great dining options and beautiful rooms, and amenities.

The Lodge was amazing! The front desk staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful, and the hotel itself was unique and historical. However, the onsite dining was less than expected. Would definitely stay again, just not dine there.

Nothing worked in either of the rooms we were put into . No hot water. Non working phones. Fire place didn’t work. Was supposed to be a special weekend with us getting married and the rooms were awful. No parking None of the restaurants were open. It was very disappointing. Won’t be back for sure

The grounds were nice and well taken care of. The bathroom floor was dirty. The shower head was clogged with sediment. The tub drained slow. The double door entering the room was not secure. The entire interior seemed to need to be freshened. For $200,00 per night I was very disappointed. Will probably not come to this resort again.
