Basic, clean and functional. Close to transport options, although right on a very busy road and junction of highways so quite loud. Good having onsite cafes, restaurants, fitness center, convenience store, massages. However, the room smelled really badly of cigarette smoke one day when I returned to the room. Unfortunately there is a central fan/AC/heating system that cannot be adjusted per room, so there was nothing the hotel could do. So I decided to leave early.

Hotel is brand new and very conveniently located near Osaka Umeda station. While the room is typical Japanese business hotel, it had everything needed. The best part was the great communal bath on the 4th floor and the breakfast on the top floor. View was nice and even has a swimming pool, unfortunately too cold in November for a dip.

I booked this hotel entirely for the gym, but the gym wasn’t included in the cost of the hotel room and you had to reserve it in 30min or 45min blocks. The system was so annoying and the gym wasn’t worth it, though it did have a smith machine. There’s a full gym a couple blocks away that I used instead. Other than that I wouldn’t recommend this massive corporate hotel. The elevator was glitching causing it to stop on every floor, the “courtyard” view room has a view of a wall and no light, AND they couldn’t find my hotels.com booking. The place had no soul. Will never stay at APA chain hotels again

Limited breakfast, The staff doesn't speak English and they are not very helpful in communicating in English. The air conditioning is freezing cold throughout the building, and the room doesn't have the option to heat it. I reported this to the hotel, and they told me they didn't control the air conditioning, as it was their central system. They provided a heater, but we still got sick from the cold in the room. I really don't recommend it and don't plan to return.

Rooms are very small but that's normal in Japan. AC, because it's winter they have it set up for heat only, no AC option, had to call reception to get a small fan and we open the window for ventilation. Pretty much we slept with no heating on and the window cracked open. check out is very early 10 a.m. to have a late check out you have to pay $2,000 yen per hour which is worth it. We paid all the way to 1:00 p.m. 6,000 yen. They have a convenience store on the 4th floor in an amazing spa. So yeah it's worth it

APA please let your customers to choose the AC mode. Do not impose heat mode when we need to cool down the rooms which are pretty small. Gym comes at a cost and the onsen is good but all baths are super hot with a lot of chlorine and none is cold or at least at room temperature.

The room was small but good enough for a couple to sleep in. This isnt my first time in Japan and small rooms are common here. I like APA because of convenience. This APA is a resort with lots of amenties however all amenities including the gym is not free. $30 for a 90minute use of gym is too much. They should have at least a discount if you are booked here but no discount. Sucks for all the gym rats going to Japan. Thats not against APA. Its just the whole culture in Japan. If you dont get lost, this is just a 7minute walk from Umeda station. Theres elevators and escalators in this area so you dont have to struggle carrying the luggage. Very convenient if you take the pedestrian bridge if you look up and around when you get out you could see the APA building so its easy. The room is clean and good to sleep in. I would book again here for convenience.
