My wife & I spent 10 days at Liberty by the Lake over Memorial Day. Very nicely renovated & tastefully decorated older home. Furniture in all areas was very comfortable. The rear screened porch was a great place to sit in a variety of weather conditions. Great locations for walking to everything in and around downtown Oswego (lakefront park, restaurants, riverwalk, fort, etc.). Short drive to groceries & SUNY Oswego. The host (Anne) was very responsive to our inquiries & requests. One note about the neighborhood - Many of the homes on the street are badly in need of the same type of makeover that Liberty by the Lake received. While this end of town looks rather rundown, it wasn't a problem & it never felt unsafe. There are many beautifully restored and maintained homes (including a few mansions) just a few blocks away in the Franklin Square & Montcalm historic districts.
