Very happy with our stay at the Metcalfe. We were travelling as a group and had two rooms. Both were clean, well stocked with amenities and well maintained. We needed extra water and coffee and the front desk assisted us without issues. The thing that stuck out to me the most was when we checked out we left our bags with the hotel to walk around before our train. When we returned, one of the bags were not returned to us. When I called the hotel, assuming the bag was lost, they instead assured me they would send it promptly over to Montreal. Everything arrived later in the week, safe and sound. We were so impressed. I would stay at the Metcalfe again for the location, the rooms and the aesthetic- but also knowing that the staff go above and beyond just solidifies this decision. Thank you.

Great staff and service. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful and very clean. The desk area was great for work and the designer chair perfect. Loved the Le labo toiletries. Unfortunately I was very close to ongoing construction and the atrium, so my stay was quite noisy. The construction continued throughout the first night stay so I did not sleep more than a few hours, which was a shame. Other than that, I highly recommend staying here and also dining at the restaurant. The food was amazing!

Charged me for something i didnt have

They charged me £20 for a tequilla from the minibar that i did not take. I never take things from the minibar and am outraged at this mistake.

Everything was great with my stay, except they charged to my credit card à minibar item I did not consume, good thing au checked my credit card, otherwise I would have not known. I called back and they promised to return the charge to my credit card

The Metcalfe is a wonderful property only steps away from everything downtown Ottawa has to offer. In addition to our spacious, tastefully appointed room, unbeknownst to us, the hotel charged our EV. When the valet brought our car to us on check-out it was fully charged and ready to go! Being a gifted critic I can usually find something that did not satisfy but at this well managed hotel everything was exactly the way we like it!
