This property was perfect for a fun yet relaxing beach stay for our family, two adults and two kids and our dog, during spring break. The property itself had everything we needed and was immaculate at check in. The fireplace was a nice feature in the chilly April nights and the walk to the beach is super short. Itâs stocked with books, music and dvds. Theres a nice deck but we didnât use it because there were storms most days. Thereâs a cafe open for breakfast, a 21 and over pub with take out food in the afternoon/evening, and a gas station all in easy walking distance. Seabrook, which has a highly developed retail area, is a short drive south and has a food market. It was also an easy drive to Lake Quinalt and Ruby Beach for a day trip. We would definitely stay here again.
This property was amazing. Super clean, quiet, serene; everything you would expect in a stress-less environment. Only two things I would improve upon:
Barely any warm water to shower with (luke warm, at best). Iâm guessing the hot water was turned off.
The tap water smelled funky. We brought a Brita filter pitcher, but that didnât help either.
Update the TV. I think your speakers are blown out. We could barely hear the movie.
A fun few days with my cousins. Three of us had a bedroom and one on the comfy couch. Beautiful view of the ocean from the deck. The grounds could use a little attention, but overall very nice. Very quiet little town close enough to Seabrook to enjoy all it has to offer, but at a lower price. We had a great time and will be back.
Memorable holiday, looking forward to coming back!
We loved our stay at Sea Scallop - especially the neighborhood, views and proximity to beach which was not very crowded and the creek that the kids and dog totally loved playing in! The beds were comfy, and we particularly liked the curtains that blocked the light in the morning let us sleep in comfortably!
We had issues with the TV and the manager got it fixed right away, appreciate the communication! Some feedback for the property manager - more kid friendly games/movies and utensils in the kitchen such as plastic cups/bowls etc would have been helpful.
We look forward to coming back soon!
I have rented VRBO plenty of times prior and as with any rentals, there are minor issues you overlook. This was not a clean home as I swept and found dog hair and other left overs aroundâŠmany lights had burned out bulbs or didnât work at all. Fireplace never worked. TV was stuck in one channel the whole time, great for teens in the house, not. The WiFi password wasnât written anywhere and I DID call for assistance for all matters including the missing DVD player that turned up on our last day at the front door. Thanks maintenance, terrible. Housekeeping dropped off light bulbs, first to the wrong house, after we waited around for them to show up, then just handed them to our 18 year old. When he mentioned that our TV didnât work, she said âthat sucksâ and left. Washing machine, no soap, smelled like mildew, as did the dishwasher a sour milk smell. Couch was stained and was a sectional that was a joke to sit on comfortably as it moved in pieces, literally pieces! No one came to fix anything, just drop off light bulbs and a DVD with a remote for the TV 2 days into the trip. Never could make it connect. Yes, we walked the beach, played games. But if you advertise one thing donât sell me something else. COVID or not, if you donât have the staff to properly check the houses, remove the properties from your pool, stop making excuses and give people what they pay for.
Came here for a mini retreat with friends. Lovely, clean place and helpful property manager. Close to the beach for nice long walks. We loved that it wasn't super crowded. We would love to come again!
My husband and I wanted a quick relaxing getaway with our dog to the ocean and this home had everything we needed! It was a block away from the beach, a block away from both an espresso shop and mini mart, and was a very quiet town. Restaurants are a very short drive away, and the home itself was so well decorated and cozy/clean. I was shocked other dogs had ever even stayed there! (I could not tell).
Perfect spot for a getaway. Liked the small, beachy town feel. Close to Seabrooke for restaurants. Comfortable, clean and with a view - it was just we needed and would stay again.
1) White rug needs to be removed from the home. Itâs full of dog hair, dog treats and candy. Itâs dirty and unnecessary - we had to roll it up and hide it behind the couch.
2) floors behind couches need to be moped and vacuumed daily. Dog hair by the inches.
3) vent over shower full of hair and dust needs to be cleaned
4) vent above microwave is broken able to be used - we cooked daily. Needs to be replaced.
5) front and upper balcony weather doors broken we were not able to enjoy using them.
6) we washed the covers on the couch because they are stained and dirty. Didnât sit on the couches without covering them with sheets
All high touch areas cleaned very well! Carpet down stairs nice and clean. We appreciated the cleaning fee being returned to us and the care for our concerns by your management team. This is a Really cute and sweet place to stay great location and overall appearance of the home is very nice! Great decorating!!
Wonderful location, but the least "welcoming" I've ever experienced in a vrbo rental. Tiny coffee maker, no toaster, nothing in the way of amenities provided - defective can opener, no salt or pepper, etc. Poor showing for a great property, in my and my guests' opinion.
If this is indicative of Vacasa properties, I'll be more careful in booking next time.
3 bedrooms downstairs and the kitchen and living room upstairs to enjoy the view. We loved it and hope to return soon! Pack a clip to attach the shower curtain to the rod and showers will be a lot easier. There is no toaster, so pack one if you want one. Otherwise very well stocked!
We enjoyed staying at the Sea Scallop.. The interior was very modern, clean and nicely decorated. The upstairs living area provided a nice view of the ocean and surrounding town. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed for fixing meals, except we could not locate the toaster.
If youâre there during a clam tide, it is an easy walk to Mocrocks Beach for clam digging.
A couple of suggestions - the bush between the parking area and the door needs to be trimmed so you donât have to step in the mud to get to the door. The two person kitchen table worked for the two of us, but since it is a three bedroom house it would be better to have a four or five person kitchen table, even if you have to give up a chair in the living room.
We liked having the option of being able to do a late checkout, enjoyed staying at the house and would book it again.
I appreciate that the photos represent the true experience! This was the perfect place to celebrate my daughterâs upcoming 16th Birthday! The house was stocked very well! The ownerâs thoughtfulness in decor and the table settings completed the beach theme. Clean, cozy and an incredible view! I would book again!
This is a gem of a place!
I do agree with the other renter, a 4 slice toaster and larger coffee pot would be appreciated.
Loved it. Heat interesting need a toaster and bigger coffee pot. It was very clean and white. Will use again. We got our clams and had them tonite. Thanks for letting us stay. You will see us again. M
