I stayed a night here during a recent trip to Mt Rainier. Check in was easy and the manager was very friendly and helpful. Popcorn in the lobby was a nice bonus plus saw a herd of elk crossing the property! I had my dog with me and we stayed in a dog friendly room on the ground floor-the property has plenty of space to walk your dog. WiFi was fast, bed was comfy and the shower was hot. Would definitely stay again.

Very cute, but staff unwelcoming.

Very cute lodge with great access to Mount Rainier National Park! I have family who live in Packwood so I’ve been visiting the area since I was a child, but haven’t stayed in any of the lodges. This was a treat for sure. The beds were log and had cute bear quilts! Definitely gave that PNW vibe. Only major con I have is the front desk attendant. He wasn’t very friendly or welcoming at check-in, even when I tried to engage in conversation. Maybe he was having a bad day? He seemed standoffish and I got a feeling he just wanted us out of the front office as quickly as possible. Another con (qwirk?) is that the tv just randomly turned on by itself at 4:00 a.m. multiple times. We had to unplug it so we could sleep.

As previous reviews mentioned, staff was not friendly. The property needed some upkeep. Area around property poor town. The room was not clean: power in sink. The A/C made a noise while running. The sheets were polyester. The smell of cleaning supplies. Some of these things are personal preference. I was deeply disappointed in the 'wonderful" I was expecting.

Beds were comfortable, and room was clean. Couldn’t get tv to work, gave up. Air con and fridge both loud, air con so loud it woke me up. Felt like the place was being run down
