Room was very nice. Nice towels comfy bed excellent view. Shower was perfect, hot has you like! Very clean inside the room. Outside building needs maintenance. Breakfast was just okay. Would have like fresh foods instead of packaged. Tv remote didn’t work. I would stay there again in that room!

I didn't stay. I went back to the lobby and told him that there was no way I could stay there. It was a ghetto. I was charged anyway for not staying. I don't know why I didn't read the previous reviews.

The bedding & room itself was very clean. Housekeeping seemed to be very well run and responsible. Management was anything but responsible or organized. Dark colored waste baskets & pails were set around in hallways on multiple floors to catch leaking water from the ceiling tiles and air fresheners were being used throughout the guest room area halls to cover the mildew and mold smells. No fans or rug cleaning were being done during our 3 day stay. No signs to watch our steps. Poor lighting in areas and not all exterior doors were locked. The balcony walls were covered with spider nests and no screen door for the balcony. No real breakfast because of construction in the area; waffle mix and cold cereal but no personnel around to ask questions to. No wireless; the excuse was there had been a lightning storm the night before and knocked out the wireless which wasn't told to us at check-in. This was for the entire 3 day stay. I asked for but no offer to adjust the bill for the condition of the halls or non-existent wireless. To leave early would have cost us 1 night's stay therefore we decided to just leave the keys in the room and not stay for our last reserved night early so we could go to a clean, honest, up-front place that we could enjoy. We didn't want to pay for the final night AND have them rent the room to someone else. It was worth the extra expense to get away from the poorly managed, unsafe location.

The place is in a good location but the conditions of the hotel are terrible, I mean the structure, in the photo they do not present the reality of the building. I had chosen a room with a balcony and you look at the lake when one goes out many cigarettes on the balcony plus super dirty the surroundings were horrible. I chose the hotel because in the photos nothing stands the same as when you arrive. I think that if they fix it it would be 100% worth it since it is accessible.

Pagosa Lodge “oh no no no”.

The Hotel was not the same as it was in the pictures when we researched it. The doorway for our room had a large gap at the top. The patio view of the lake for our room had access to anyone (very creepy). We also observed something sketchy going on in the parking lot. My wife and I felt very unsafe while we were there.

We could not find the motel on Google; it was listed as "permanently closed", and it appeared that it had been closed and now they are trying to get it going but it was in no shape to be open and only a few rooms were occupied. It was hard to find a person at the front desk, the breakfast was really poor and with no attendants around. The room itself was nice with the lake view but we felt like we were on a sinking ship, or at least one that had recently sunk and is just trying to come ip for air.

Breakfast items could be improved by providing more vegetarian items and gluten free items. Struggled with key cards in that one would not work. When replaced then the other would not work until both cards were replaced at the same time. Each morning saw hot air balloons go up over lake. Lake view was nice. Good food options within walking distance.

All was good, rooms were clean and a very quiet. Slept well. Only issue, was breakfast, the tables and floors were dirty. And we got there right at 7am, at the opening of breakfast being served. it had food crumbs on floors and most of the tables weren't clean. Microwave was dirty, dried-up cheese or food stains in microwave.

Rundown, neglected old hotel

What people should know is that this hotel is in terrible disrepair. Apparently they are working on it. But be prepared the exterior is bad, weeds, parking lot surface, old paint, cobwebs, almost no lighting. There are no working security doors in operation. The two rooms we were in the sliding doors don’t have a working locks. They had flimsy aluminum bar stops. One room the smoke detector was found on a dresser. The interior of all the public areas are old and worn. I didn’t see a pool, the spa sauna is ripped out. It appears workers are living on at least a semipermanent bases. Grills were outside some doors. The room itself was, clean comfortable, with nice bedding and the towels were great. Had the rooms not been looking like they have been updated some we would not have stayed the night. The shower was nice and good water pressure. The breakfast was good, your typical hotel self serve type. Everything there was good and fresh, but the coffee in the room was old and tasted nasty. I looked on one package the appeared to be expired by over 2 years. The ladies at the front desk were nice and helpful. So really I hope this serves as a warning to the public traveling folks who will be shocked at the rundown neglected appearance.
