Sadly disappointed

So my first stay here about 3-4 months ago was great .. i recommend this place to a family member and I also stayed this past weekend.. we don’t live far but every so often my spouse and I like to get away for a couple nights and just relax from our routines of daily life. So we sleep in and watch TV -jump into the pool and just relax .. no not this past weekend I was up at 6 12 am With sounds of rumbling followed by the sounds of a construction zone .. tell me why it’s ok to have the roof done on a hotel over the weekend? We were assured that the workers would be gone by noon- ok so I’m thinking well maybe I can catch a nap .. no the workers didn’t leave till the evening… I would have gotten more rest at home ..they gave us a late checkout for our troubles…

Gem in the Desert

Our second stay at this hotel. The main attraction is the mineral pools, and they don't disappoint. Given the cost of most other hotels in the Palm Springs area that don't even have natural mineral spring water, this hotel really makes sense with its costs. It's not opulent or fancy, but the mineral water pools make up for it.

I was really excited about booking here. To start, the staff is friendly. While the carpet in my room was really stained, the bedding and restroom was clean. The pool area was really dirty, the water is so murky and full of trash. The worst part was the cricket infestation. Literally crickets covering the floor and walls of the gazebo where the other hot tub is located. That was really gross. There is no microwave in the rooms, there is one community microwave on the first floor for all the people staying here. There is also one ice machine on the second floor. No one told me about this when I called or when I arrived. To make matters worse, they had construction start at 7am on a Saturday morning. We got here late yesterday after a long drive and were up late thinking we would be able to sleep in. I called the front desk and they said they were trying to stop them from working since it was the weekend but it seems they were not successful because the people working on the ceiling continued to work making super loud noises right above me. I was in the 3rd floor and they were fixing the roof. The noise was unbearable and continued until checkout. I paid to get some rest and relax and I got none of that in return.

Was fine for a night, pool and hot tub were uneventful, the hot tub jets didn’t really work and due to wind, the pool was dirty, some of which should have been cleaned by staff ( like trash , I understand that leaves etc are in due to wind). Otherwise staff was nice, rooms were clean.

Romantic Getaway

My spouse and I have a little tradition—every other week, we pick a new spot for a quick escape and give it a thorough, honest review. This time, we found a hidden gem. The room was newly renovated—clean and modern, though nothing too remarkable. At first, we weren’t sure it would stand out. Then we saw the private indoor pool—and everything changed. It’s directly connected to the room, large, warm, and crystal clear. We spent most of our time there. It felt peaceful, romantic, and completely private—something you rarely find. There’s a poolside TV that only plays DVDs. The front desk has a few to borrow, but the selection was outdated and limited. Staff seemed stretched thin, and we caught them in what felt like a stressful moment—not exactly the welcome we hoped for. We also noticed the walls were thin—footsteps and noise from upstairs guests were easy to hear. But later that night, we walked the property and the atmosphere shifted. It was calm, quiet, and full of cozy corners to sit, talk, and reconnect. Despite a few flaws, this place made a lasting impression. The private pool alone makes it worth a return trip—and we definitely plan to come back.
