The worst was check in where the desk staff of one person insisted that no one could check in before 4 pm! As the line grew longer & longer, she finally began checking us in. Also, the place is not a „resort.“. It‘s very old and worn and in need of a complete makeover. It is clean enough but staff only cleaned once and did not provide new towels on my second day. The Mr Coffee pot needed descaling and I couldn’t make coffee in it unless I wanted to wait a long time for it to brew. The Mexican restaurant next door (Sancho‘s) is overpriced.

The person at reception was efficient but too business-like. This is the hospitality business. Employees who interact with the customers should be trained to project warmth. Not over-the-top phoniness, just warmth. The rooms were clean and well-prepared, with ironing board and hair dryer conveniently located, but the rugs were worn and some wallpaper was peeling. The worst problem was the shower handle. The plate that secures the handle to the wall was unscrewed, so the handle was upside down and wobbly. I got it to work, but this should never happen and suggests that the property needs to have a better maintenance inspection regime. The motel was okay for a one night stay, but I wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay.

Good location. Our two queen room was spacious. No microwave. Bathroom, bedroom and sitting area were outdated and not well maintained (outlets and faucet wall covers were partially loose, the popcorn ceiling looked neglected with dust nests etc.). Food at Reef (on site pool bar and restaurant) was good, as was the service. Reception asked for $ 25.00 for our canine companion while thye Expedia info stated that there was no dog fee, odd. In summary not worth $ 250/ night.

Centrally located to both ends of the valley

Adorable property with a tiki bar open late, who could ask for more. The check is was easy and friendly and there is plenty of parking. The room was fine if a little rough around the edges. Very clean but worn.

Neat place needs a little TLC🙂

The good: excellent pool, great hot tub, tiki bar, housekeeping, happy hour drinks and food. Has lots of charm and history (Elvis used to hang out there). Best Mai Tai I’ve ever had Needs improvement; tv didn’t work, toilet seat was broken, refrigerator needed to be defrosted, coffee machine lid broken, heater did not work, shower dispensers needed to be refilled. Overall a neat place. Just needs a little TLC. Jay the motorcycle mechanic bartender was awesome!

This hotel was fine for our purposes. We just needed a place to stay overnight. It was a nice place for a price we were willing to spend. We had a great dinner at Melvyn's nearby and a great breakfast at Elmer's nearby andthen went to the Indian Wells tennis tournament.

There was a handle/pull missing from one of the chest of drawers, there were pushpins left stuck in the wall from a past event, the water in the tub came out both in the shower and the lower faucet for the tub, and thus the tub did not drain when the shower was on, and did drain afterwards. The keycard did not work and when it was redone, it still did not work, and the technician/handiperson tried to change the batteries and that did not work, and it did not get fixed during our stay, we were given one actual key to use, and we should each have had a keycard. We asked for theset things to be repaired, but they wer not repaired during our stay.

There was music playing loudly near the pool every morning by 8am including the morning after the daylight savings time change when people wanted to sleep in. There aren’t any black out curtains either. We’ve stayed here before but we didn’t enjoy our stay this time. It felt more like motel 6 this time.
