The front lobby reeked of smoke, and the hallways/room also had a weird smell that lingered throughout. The room's window was open and unlocked when I checked in, facing the open parking lot. The room also had stains on the back of the entry door and the ceiling. The bed creaked loudly when you sat down and got up. It was also difficult to get comfortable as voices could be heard when people walked down the hallway or went up or down the staircase near my room. Positives were the in-room TV, microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge.

The room was awesome and clean. Only one thing that bug me is since they accept dogs is very dangerous to know what dogs are friendly and the ones are not? I was going out to my vehicle and when I was about to exit the building two dogs start barking at me and try to bite me I have to wait for them to pass before I can move and even do the owner apologized that doesn’t help because if some kid or older people are around them will attack them.

The room was large and the king size bed comfortable. There was no hair blower which I thought unusual. The breakfast was poor- no bread or muffins or any fresh fruit at all. The lady who checked us in could have smiled or pretended to be friendly.

The walls are so thin you could hear the guest in the room next door. You could hear people walking in the second floor, this made it impossible to sleep. They have only one ice machine in the entire hotel and it was out of service.

It should be made very clear that this is a budget hotel in an area of Indio where things start to feel a little seedy. For its part, the hotel is kept very clean, the rooms are spacious and they've received some updating. The challenge we experienced was with our adjoining room. The large gaps left under doors when carpet was replaced with vinyl flooring mean you can hear everything going on in your neighbors room and for us that meant screaming, crying, laughing, door slamming, etc throughout the entire night. It was a pretty miserable experience. When I let the hotel manager know though, he went above and beyond to correct the situation. He moved us to a different room, moved all of our belongings for us and ensured everything was precisely where we had left it in our previous room. He's a gem of a human and was the saving grace for the weekend.

Staff at check in was very good. Have stayed at this location several times, always been very good. This stay however was lacking. Pool was not heated, hot tub out of service, ice machine out of service. The shower needs a lot of attention. Mold, shower valve not working properly. And for some reason the television power cord was unplugged from the television, not the wall. Just was not the stay we expected
