The Fiddle Creek Cabin offers all the amenities of home, only a short distance from some of the most popular recreation areas in Alaska!

Walk, ski, or bike from your cozy cabin door to the newly developed Government Peak trail system. Hike to the fireweed fields and waterfall or all the way to the summit on well-marked trails.

A 5-minute drive will take you to the Hatcher Pass public recreation area famous for a variety of activities: The fresh white snow is great for cross country and down hill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and snow-shoeing. Our 19.5 hours of daylight during the summer months provide opportunity for berry picking, fishing, bird watching, paragliding, sightseeing, golfing, or gold-panning! The Independence Mine State Historical Park is a must-see for visitors intrigued by Alaska's gold mining past.

After adventuring, return to your comfortable "base camp" in its quiet neighborhood at the foot of the mountain. Whether you like to heat up easy snacks or prepare seven-course meals, you can do it in the Fiddle Creek Cabins' modern kitchen. Outside, there's a BBQ grill and a fire pit with a breath-taking view of nearby mountains. Or you can relax inside with Netflix on the flat screen TV and Wi-Fi for all your devices. We stayed two nights at Dave and Heathers cabin. It was very comfortable and quiet. Everything in the cabin was beautifully decorated and clean. And the view from the cabin was amazing! The location was perfect for exploring Hatcher Pass.
