The hotel is very charming with comfortable rooms. However the bath is very narrow with no hand rails and it is very difficult to get in and out especially if you have an injury etc.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to land for our first stay in Paris. Laurent at the front desk was so helpful and welcoming: he made us feel right at home. Everything about the hotel was charming: from the historic decor, courtyard, delicious breakfast, and romantic windows. The location was perfect for walking to Jardín de Luxembourg with the kids and there were lots of great shops around. As our plane took off, we all agreed we couldn’t possibly stay anywhere else when we return to Paris.

I felt this stay was satisfactory but the hotel could easily make some improvements without spending a lot of money which would bring the quality up significantly, for example, get rid of antiquated decor items like dust covered fruit baskets, floral fabric drapes from 60’s, bird cages, etc. Replace the carpet, mattresses (which felt like sleeping in a box spring, and add coffee makers and blow driers. The hotel is in a great location and could be made great with little effort. Good to great with little effort.

Lovely Friendly Hotel

Lovely little hotel in a great location. Staff were super friendly. Not a large international formulaic chain and a little quirky. Area is very quiet but only a very short walk to bars/restaurants shops. Also, very short walk to Pantheon, Jardin de Luxembourg, Saint Sulpice, Emily in Paris' house (Ask my wife!!) and much, much more.

Once, not twice

Beware, I am not sure how this is a 4 star hotel. I’d give it 3 at most and I’m being very generous. The only upside is the location which is great. The rooms are archaic, the AC does not work. The bed mattress is nonexistent comfort wise. Lacks basic amenities such as toothpaste which I asked for and said there were none which is ridiculous considering hotels should have toothpaste especially 4 star ones! There is no one to help with luggage. I was annoyed that the doors require actual keys that you have to return before you go out to the city. The hotel attendant ran after me to get it. Overall, don’t be fooled by the four stars.

Great spot for touring

We rented at this hotel because of its location and reasonable price, and we’re not at all disappointed. Great location: across from the Odeum, within easy walking distance to the Seine and major attractions, and a stone’s throw from Luxembourg Park, which was an awesome place to relax and people watch. At the hotel we had a very engaging host at the desk who went out of his way to give us advice, and even served us coffee when we got back tired from museum hopping. Was the room luxurious? Of course not- it was small but perfectly functional. Anyone who stays more than the bare minimum in their room then complains that it is too small, too dark, etc., is a fool.

Had a great 7-night stay. We really enjoyed it. Very convenient location and good access to public transportation. Room is clean, and the front desk has been courteous and helpful. Had some wifi issue during the first several days , which got better later. Would not hesitate to book again if chances arise.

We loved our stay at Relais Medici - the staff was excellent, the room was great for 4 people, the location was perfect, and the beds were comfortable (we slept so well!). They were accommodating in keeping our luggage both before and after our check-in/check-out times, which was wonderful. We'll be back!

A beautiful boutique hotel, in a perfect location. After a day exploring the city on foot, on the metro and by boat, it was great to be staying in such a lovely and atmospheric neighborhood which meant enjoying the restaurants and bars closer to home. The staff were great and made our stay super special. Will definitely be back, and would highly recommend!
