To be honest, the cabins were a bit more rustic than I expected. It had what we needed though, and my family really enjoyed our stay. There wasnât any water in the creek/ravine at the edge of the property, but the manager gave us clear directions for a short drive to a beautiful spot at Christopher Creek with flowing water. We also enjoyed going to Tonto Creek and Woods Canyon Lake.
Is was a pleasant two night stay. Liked the rustic look and feel of the cabin. Was nicely organized with comfortable furniture, beds, towels, microwave, fridge, fireplace, etc.. Location was nice to encourage sight seeing and hiking.
I may have missed this in the description, but there are no plates or utensils and no stove top, so bring paper/plastic ware and microwavable food, especially in the winter when the Tavern is only open on weekends. The general store is a 5 minute walk and they do have those essentials if needed. Also note that these cabins are not on the creek. It was nice having a fireplace and the back porch was delightful when the sun came out. Very quiet place in February but Im sure the weekends and summer season is a lot busier.
Overall the cabin is comfortable and cozy.
