I contacted the host within minutes of opening the door due a nasty sewer/methane smell of a 4 night stay. The host said they would have someone there the next day and did not. Stayed the second night with same nasty smell. Got up and decided to leave, we could not deal with that smell and told them. Just asked for a refund for the last 2 nights, twice, no response. Contacted VRBO to get involved and waiting. No response for over 48 hours!
This was a well thought out AB&B, They had just about everything you'd ever want if you forgot anything at home. This property is very unique to any other and is secluded enough To give you maximum privacy But still close enough to Peebles in West Union if you desire conveniences of stores and restaurants. If you want it relaxing peaceful stay somewhere away from your your normal routine this is the place to be. If you want a relaxing peaceful getaway this should be at the top of your list spokennois.
Strange smell. Had to wash all of our clothes after we left. Dead bugs all over. Dishes were not clean. VRBO payment was a nightmare. Had to pay the owner separately. The silo was a very unique experience. But I would not recommend to a friend. Not worth the price for a luxury stay.
This property is adorable! It's such a fun swtting. The location is private, you can't see anyone else from the home. Very nice amenities: fireplace, hottub, fire pit, grill. Everything was clean and well maintained, definitely a great stay!
Had a wonderful time visiting Peebles. The people at Abbyâs place were amazing. The serpent mound was such an incredible experience. We will be back again. The grain silo at Harvest Haven was tucked away in such a perfect spot. We just loved every minute of our time there.
Definitely off the beaten path of normal city life, and super peaceful to relax. Check out cruisers diner for all day breakfast and great food and service⊠Less than 10 minutes away.
Quiet, secluded, clean, plenty of room for a couple and ample kitchen space and equipment to cook meals... We did our annual couples retreat at Harvest Haven and really got the headspace for goalsetting and reviewing the past year. The rose petals on the bed were a nice touch. The skies were clear and we were able to see so many stars at night. The hottub was perfect. We visited Amish shops, a local diner, and Serpent Mound, but spent most of our time at the silo. It was wonderful to get away and this property is perfect for it. Thanks to the owners for putting so much careful thought into everything.
Overall I loved this spot the Grain bin itself was in a very exclusive location. There wasnât many activities to do around the location but that didnât bother us because we didnât want to do a lot while we were there. The Grain Binâs hot tub was amazing it was set at 95 degrees so if you want it hotter make sure you set it before getting in. The grill was amazing we made steaks, burger, and bacon and it was delicious!! The fire pit was great touch to our evening sunset too!!! The place was decorated so cute and they had a lot of kitchen utensils to use so that made it very easy to want to cook there. Thereâs not a lot of restaurants around so the kitchen being fully stocked of supplies made it very easy. The only reason why I didnât give a 10/10 recommendation was because it did say they had WiFi but there isnât at this time. There is no TV either but we brought our IPad and hooked it to my Hotspot and it worked perfectly!!! Finding the location wasnât hard, once you turn onto Lawshe Rd make sure you look for the windmill b/c the address will take you past the driveway. But once you find the windmill there is a very cute sign that makes it very easy to find!!! Overall we have already recommended it to others!!! P.S there were a few spidersâŠ. But they killed very easily!!
House is super cute and creative. Super clean. There isnt wifi yet, which the ad said there was, but no biggie. Hot tub needs to be preheated (just a heads up). And there is definitely a giant spider under the couch that we couldnt get.
