We just needed a place to stay overnight on our travels thru to final destination. The Pit Stop was very cute, cozy, nicely decorated home. There was plenty of space for our family overnight. Owner was very responsive. Home is on a main road, easily accessible to keep traveling. With that being said, there is traffic noise that may disturb some. Also, there is no WiFi, so you if you plan to watch TV you will need to Hotspot from your phone.
Overall this was a great place to stay. We had 5 adults and a toddler and were comfortable. We brought our Cavachon and he did well too! Host was very responsive and great with work with. Only drawbacks, floors were a little dirty. If there was a regular mop, I would have cleaned the floors! Ants around the sink, and strong odor from someoneâs previous pet visit. All manageable and Iâd stay there again!
Just a 20 minute drive on a main road to campus. Clean and set up nicely for our short stay with three adults and pup. The accommodations were just right for us and hostâs attention to little touches like snacks upon arrival were a very nice surprise. Host was very attentive before and during our stay and Iâd recommend you give the âPit Stopâ a look for your visit to the Blacksburg area.
We had only a few days to book something and luckily happened upon The Pit Stop for a 1 night stay! Itâs a very nice place, furnished beautifully, on hwy 460 only 25 minutes from Va. tech. Nancy and family were very friendly and accommodating!
The pit stop was beautiful, right off of 460. The location was actually perfect for a travel volleyball weekend in Blacksburg. 20 mins to just about anything and everything. Nancy was a darling host, she was attentive and caring. She checked in on a regular basis. All of her little touches, were so perfect. We chatted about laundry, though she didnât have a washer and dryer in the unit she told us where we could go AND left us detergent! We will definitely book again when weâre back in the area. We did try the Mexican restaurant right down the street. That was a chefs kiss of a place as well!
