Rooms on house share a bathroom. Area has solar electrical so they restrict usage after dark as they do not store it well. Just know what you will be getting
Guesthouse was very much as shown: community spaces for bathrooms and cooking etc. and the location was great, very close to Akaka Falls yet outside of town enough to enjoy slowing down. Found great shaved ice at the Aloha General Store.
We stayed in the king bed room, which was clean and mostly comfortable, but gets baked in the sun from sunrise. The room was very hot and could use a ceiling fan, the small one provided barely worked to cool the large room⊠and having the windows open meant listening to the neighbors dog bark incessantly.
I in the place where I donât feel like I am a tourist but living among locals yes it not what many hotels will offer but you are one with the natural and the real beauty of Hawaii, taking a shower in the open bathroom is the best thing I experienced and yes it has a privacy and comfort of of taking a bath with out worrying anything just enjoy the view of Hawaii 360 degrees
This was the perfect getaway for someone who likes it quiet, peaceful and beautiful.
I will stay again. Very clean. Authentic "old kine Hawaii".

Very secluded, and has most of what you need. The rooms are a bit old and not as clean. Amenities are great though! There's a personal waterfall you can go to.
We enjoyed our stay and it was very comfortable. We had a king room. No A/C but windows to open for breeze. I was happy I packed a very small portable fan which really helped when it rained but it was still warm. We had to close the windows to keep the rain out. Snacks left in the room were nice and the kitchen was well stocked. Thank you!
It is located in a remote area with really bad road leading to the place. The room is really small and smells with shared bathrooms outside for all tenants. We arrived at night with no electricity in the building. The breakfast place is decent though but you have to drive there.
