We stayed here for our cedar point trip on Labor Day weekend. It was a great experience. The staff was extremely professional, courteous and friendly. The evening shift lady who checked us in was very nice, professional and hardworking. The suites we stayed in was spacious and modern. Rooms are well insulated & quiet. kids enjoyed the pool a lot. The outdoor fireplace was amazing. There is always fresh coffee available in the lobby and dining area. The free continental buffet breakfast was great with a lot of variety. The customer service is awesome! The front desk staff are always in a great mood and willing to help out. Housekeeping is also phenomenal! We would definitely stay here again.

Holiday Inn Petosky

This hotel is beautiful and is in a great area. The suite was very spacious with a full size fridge, microwave and even a fireplace! I really appreciated that as we had went through a hard rain so we were cold and damp. The king size bed was really comfortable and overall the room was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely return when visiting Petosky again. Also the breakfast was very tasty.

There was nothing unique. The breakfast was ok. The staff were nice. But it was very depressing with gray colored walls, worn carpet, on a busy highway with bright lights and neon framing the hotel. I guess fine if you are on a business trip but we were there for a vacation and it was definitely not cheap or in a good location.

Pleasant stay

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean and all the staff was very friendly. The breakfast attendants were more than accommodating. The breakfast provided was a hot breakfast including eggs, pork and turkey sausage, pancakes, and potatoes. The hotel was a short drive to downtown.

Recommend

Very clean room. Bed was comfortable. If your room is on the back of the hotel, you get a beautiful view from your room’s small balcony. Friendly staff. Breakfast is typical Holiday Inn Express, but the hours are too short for travelers leaving early or sleeping late. Our room had some minor maintenance issues (chipped paint on balcony).

I stayed three nights. This property is highly overpriced. It is run down and not very clean. The carpets in the common areas are worn and the elevator needs to be cleaned. Same for the room. The carpeting was old and stained. There were broken tiles in the bathroom and there was black mildew where the tiles met the tub. The room was near the elevator so somewhat noisy, and the housekeeping staff had loud conversations right outside the door. They also cleaned the ice machine early one morning which was disruptive. The breakfast was decent. Two very ambitious people kept it stocked and there were plenty of food options. The dining area was small so getting a table was problematic. The front desk staff seemed overly casual and not very professional. I appreciated having free water bottles available in the lobby.
