This property is beautiful and so well-maintained. Itâs bright and modern, but also cosy and spacious.
It had everything we needed for a weekend stay, including milk in the fridge so we could make a cup of tea when we got in.
The outdoor space is also perfect in the sunshine! We didnât get to make the most of walking around the farm sadly, and you do need a car to visit the local area and further afield, but I would highly recommend staying here for a wonderful escape to the county.
Lodge Cottage is fabulous and ticks all the boxes for a lovely break away. Accommodation is spotless and has everything you need. Looking forward to coming back in the summer months to enjoy the pretty outside areas.
The cottage was very well appointed with a modern kitchen and lovely bathrooms. Very clean and stylish. Beautiful garden and the firepit was great for barbecuing. The host was very welcoming and on hand for any issues.
We had the most incredible time at the cottage. Everything is super clean and organized. The place is well equipped with whatever you might need. The check in instructions were very clear. Theres even a map with a number of hiking options which was great. I cannot say enough great things about this place. It truly felt like home.
Myself and 4 friends have just returned from an amazing weekend at The Lodge and it is impossible to find fault with this place or our host Josephine.
The Lodge is immaculately clean and Josephine has clearly thought about the visitor experience, as attention to every detail has been given in order to ensure you have a flawless and comfortable stay.
On arrival we had a lovely walk though the Farm Estate to the lake and beyond and was pleasantly greeted by the horses on the way back.
It is set in a picturesque location with fabulous views and ideal for country walks, pub dinners and chilling in the evening.
Whilst it feels rural and you do need a car, it is actually not that far from local shops and Eastbourne itself as well as other nearby attractions.
I truly cannot recommend it enough and we will definitely be returning!
Couldnât fault the property, 5star, location ideal for not being in a busy seaside location but within 15/20 mins drive by car. Lovely rural setting and quiet. Lots to see & do & within easy reach of shops & major supermarkets.
We a tay in the area every year to visit family. This was a perfect location for us and the layout of the house was perfect.
3 adults one teenager and one 8 year old felt at home and had plenty of space to do our own thing. Well equipped and fresh we are hoping to stay again â€ïž
This was one of the best holiday accommodations we have ever stayed at! Our only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer! The whole accommodation is spotless, shiny new, modern and stylish, beautifully appointed and spacious and the grounds are beautiful and very well-kept. Everything has been thought of - there was nothing missing and more than we could have hoped for! The Lodge is a credit to the owners and we would return at the drop of a hat! We sadly didn't have time to explore the grounds, but hope to one day! Grandaughter Genie also loved the toys and books!
Thank you!
If we had to find a fault (and it's hard!) all we could say is that the metal edges on first step (leading up to kitchen from living room) are a tad sharp and could do with a rounded edge (if your concern is a not-quite walking 1-year-old) and the lights coming on outside next to master bedroom in the night (we couldn't work out how to turn outside lights off, but also thing our daughter/s-i-l may have been flicking the wrong switch when going to the bathroom as there's one outside light switch next to the bathroom). The bathroom ventilators are also rather loud in the bedroom... however, none of this detracted from what a super place this is and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to all!
