Pool and hot tub under renovation

One of the reasons we booked this place was because the pool area looked nice. We're from MN so having pool time in the winter is a real treat. However, when we checked there was signage that said the pool was closed. This information was NEVER provided - not on the Hotels.com website or in any communication. To say we were disappointed was an understatement. And by the look for project it had been going on for a while and it will continue to be that way. Now, I will say the hotel did comp us a night so that was good. But I would have preferred to have not booked this place and went somewhere that had a pool. The unit itself is large but definitely on the cheaper end. Or maybe our unit hadn't be renovated recently. The bed was comfortable. If space is your thing this place will work well for you. If better quality is also part of the equation it might not. But the lack of truthfulness upfront (when looking for a hotel) is a really bad way to run a business and left us with a poor opinion of this resort's business practices.

Waited 1 1/2 hrs past check in time, room wasn’t cleaned. Service desk not very friendly, restaurant would only serve food at a order counter outside at lunch, our unit was very far from main building and parking, and pool is under construction, would nerves go back.

1. Good location to restaurants/ shopping within a short driving distance. 2. Staff at front desk friendly and helpful. 3. For those going to the Mayo Clinic ( main campus ) just a 12 minute drive. 4. If staying in Buildings 5-8 be aware of a short walk to your room but can be an issue if physically limited. Resort has transportation ( “golf cart” type ) available. 5. In updated room bed was very comfortable.

Pool unavailable due to refurbishment. I wasn't aware of this while booking process or upon check in. This during peak season for travelers from cold-weather markets looking to relax in the AZ sunshine by the pool or get in an outdoor hot tub. Very frustrating. Also, walking 200 yards outdoors to my room from the nearest parking lot was just stupid.

The property was great and all the staff were incredible. The only con was the parking, it is really far from some of the units. They did provide golf cart rides from the staff but we found it inconvenient. We stayed in a beautiful reconditioned room but the plumbing was old and not reliable.

More than expected

The grounds were beautiful, very peaceful and I enjoyed my morning’s walk. The apartment was very confortable and the service superior. My only recommendation would be to have some cleaning supplies for the guests to use and a toilet brush is a must, if you are not opting for housecleaning services.

Beautiful, spacious, clean!

This was my first time at this hotel and I would definitely book again. My room/suite was very large and clean! This hotel is located right on the golf course, so the entire area is beautiful. Now everything wasn’t perfect. The parking at this hotel is less than ideal. They have very limited parking near the rooms and the remaining parking is down by the clubhouse which could be a block away or more from your room.

The property was very convenient to family we visit every Christmas, and staying at the Orange Tree resort cut our travel time in half! Originally, we were given a different unit that faced on the golf course, but we asked to change to a ground floor unit facing away from the golf course. We were accommodated with no problem. Our unit was very clean, and the bed was great. Shower worked well, and there were plenty of towels. It's an older property but very well maintained even though there was minor wear and tear on the cabinets and furniture. Parking not great, but we managed. Unfortunately didn't get to use the jacuzzi tub. Loved the kitchenette. We plan to book again for Christmastime 2025.

Resort was good, rooms spacious and clean. Pool was out of service which we were not advised of before hand and even at checkin, we only found out by reading a sign. Our check in experience wasn’t great as the individual did not seem like they wanted to be there and did not really provide us any info about the resort, all other staff we encountered through the couple days were great however!
